Gambo is still salty af. He lost some credibility saying Kieff was going to wreak havoc on media day. Now he's just got a personal vendetta, and it looks completely unprofessional. But that's Gambo for ya.

Yea...this isn't helping his trade value...move him to the bench and let him go off against bench players.

38% on 2pt shots? Dude is a PF right?

The difference is, Kieff isn't old af like Kobe and JJ are. I doubt many teams feel his skills have diminished. They probably just think he's in the wrong system.

Coming in here may not be following the flow of the convo/posts.

But my opinion is that he is totally dogging it. Seems there are games where he goes stretches where he plain doesn't give a ... crud..

I remember in the Detroit game, about mid game I swore it just seemed like he was point shaving. He was just throwing up lame attempts of shots I knew had no intentions of going through the net.

I would say its more likely than not that he is not getting himself totally prepared for games either.

I would just sit him down and tell him, "When you are ready to play, just let me know, because 38% shooting and 5 boards a game is pathetic. Right now, you are way over paid." Then he would sit at the end of the bench with NO playing time until he speaks up.

This team is going nowhere with him playing any minutes whatsoever. It's about time to face that issue. Either DNP him until he gets his head out of his ass, or trade him ASAP.

Next game is against Detroit... would be a nice timing to send him ass to the bench.

He definitely played a big part in costing that game. GREAT D down by 3 and a stop, with a minute left, and Kieff shoves a guy down when we have the ball? I think had we hit a 3 on that possession we have total momentum in a tie game with a minute left and great energy on D. That had to be deflating. The other players have to be disappointed with Kieff.

Hornacek definitely should have taken him out right there.

His head ain't in the game.

We should just play Leur and Mirza at the PF spot though that would really kill Keiff's trade value but for team chemistry it might be the only way to go.

I do not know whether Kieff is putting all the effort he can give, but it seems that he is not.
He is not killing for rebounds, he is not defending with intensity, he is not going to the post with his man when he is smaller, either he is faking and penetrating when his man is slower.
He just plays the game as he is at his office. He just does a minimum.

In modern basketball, he is a useless player. He is shooting long twos all day long, which is the worst shot a team can get. Low percentages, companions far from the rim as they are setting screens. He does not go to the rim, neither shoots threes with good percentages.

Once we have seen that Teletovic is in good shape and Leuer is a good, useful player, once Chandler gets back, Morris should play much less.

A different thing would be to play him just for selling the product, but the most he plays, the less we win, so there is no point in playing him to get another player, as that trade is going to come too late, I believe.

It's crazy to think that after a month of playing with your team mates, being around the team and going to battle together that he would be giving a half-a** effort. But I think that may just be the case. For a NBA player to deliberately not compete to spite the front office is incredibly petty and childish.

I've always been with Tastic and a few others in the thought that he should get traded but not when his value is as low as it is. However, I feel like that's really coming back to bite us in the a** when we're still playing him significant minutes, being a significant part of our offense and taking shot opportunities from others who can actually help the team. Guys like Telly and Leuer are just waiting to be given more minutes and go to war with the rest of the team.

IMO his thinking is "ok, I got a pay cut so I can stay with my brother, but he's gone, so I'm gonna play like $8M/year player, not $12M/year player I can/used to be." Obviously he's hurting the team while doing that.

This is now the third time this season (if you include preseason) that Markieff has missed time due to a lower body injury. I'm starting to wonder if he's been 100% healthy at any point since that first preseason injury. If he's been hurt, that would explain why he's been shooting so poorly. I find it hard to believe that he would be playing poorly on purpose if he wants to be traded.

By now, it's clear the Suns aren't trading him unless they get something good in return. Intentionally playing poorly is only going to hurt his value and delay his exit from Phoenix.

Can we send this chump to the D-League already?

We can say it's to help him recover his form after nagging injuries, or something like that.

When Detroit beat the Suns in Phoenix on Nov. 6, Marcus said that Markieff did not look “happy” or “comfortable” when he watched Suns games. The assessment carried a lot of weight considering how incredibly close the twins and best friends are.

“That’s just his opinion,” Markieff said before missing Wednesday’s game. “He knows me and he thinks he knows. Outside looking in, really. It’s his opinion. We don’t really talk too much about it. I’m just trying to get my job done. Missing damn shots.
“I’m all right. If you didn’t hear it from me, then I’m all right.”

Why should he care, he already got paid, he doesn't become a FA anytime soon and his boyfriend, my bad, I mean his brother got traded off the team so why put in any effort now?
