Looks like Team Bingul didn't set his keepers. How does that work now? It is showing his whole team as available for the draft.

I'll have to decide on the keepers if he isn't around. I think that is Terovibe. I figured it would take your default top 7 stat guys.

I'll have to decide on the keepers if he isn't around, or actually we should probably find another owner to select them. I think that is Terovibe, though, who has posted. I figured it would take your default top 7 stat guys.

He probably has 5 guys that should be locks, so it will really just be deciding on the last two.

Yes, he has five locks (George, Thompson, Drummond, Teague, and Harris), and of course another two that different people might choose differently.

Did we decide on the draft order? Once we get the last 7 keepers figured out then we should be good to start, right?

Im pretty currious to see how this draft plays out. So many different strategies can come into play and since were already in the 100s theres no consensus rankings.

Interesting the top 2 guys yahoo will have ranked will be wade and howard two oldies off my team. They were my 7th and 8th rd picks last year. I kept my top 6 picks and then kept brogden.

OK, we will do draft order of reverse standings this year and then to prevent tanking in some respect going forward we will randomize a bottom # of finishers. But so it is not set at a certain # of lotto teams, we will add up the two numbers of Suns total wins to get the # of teams in the lotto, and after that, it will be reverse order. So if the Suns win 29, 11 teams are in the lotto. If they win 30, it's 3. It will always be between 4 and 11 unless they win 20 games or get into the 50s. It would never be a difference of more than 8 additional teams making the lottery.

If they win 39, that would be 12, which exceeds the maximum of 11 that you posted.

Yes, I wrote that wrong, I should have said 4 and 12. But there wouldn't be 12 teams unless they win 39 or 48 and 13 teams unless they win 49.

Just finished the first episode of a weekly podcast I'll be doing on Hashtag Basketball revolving around dynasty leagues.

Recorded it with Jordan Schultz and after some technology dramas and a substantial time zone difference (me in NZ @8pm Sunday night, him in Salem @12am!) we managed to get through an hour.

Will post a link once it's uploaded in a day or two, but anyone keen for a listen should give it a go!

Well, I'm not terribly concerned about tanking, and I think the randomness of using the Suns wins for the number of lottery teams is a little silly. If we are to have an anti-tanking measure, why not just make it a consistent number of teams?

Or maybe there should be something like rank the bottom 5 teams by games played, and let that decide the draft order. Most gets 1st, least gets 5th. That would hopefully encourage and reward activity while helping teams that need talent.

Also, always looking to trade, so feel free to send offers my way. I'm not precious, but don't be dumb.

Damn, your team took a bit of a hit during the offseason, didnt it?

Melo now having to compete with Russ and PG.
Hayward having Irving and Horford as offensive threats.
Hernangomez now stuck behind Milsap.
Bender being Bender.

I thought i was taking a major hit with CP3 headed to Houston, Gay taking the ball away from Aldridge in SA, and PG going to OKC, but at least i got saved on that last one, as i think my Kanter got saved being shipped to NY, where i think he will far excel what he was putting out in OKC.

Melo is the biggest hit. Unless there's some USA basketball mojo between PG, Melo, and Russ, I'm not sure how Melo does Melo things.

Hayward will be fine because of Brad Stevens. Juancho and Bender are sleeper picks worth gambling on more than an aging Pau Gasol, CJ Miles or Joe Ingles (though, Ingles might actually have a weirdly good season without Hayward... or he could be awful and exposed...). TJ McConnell (Bear Down!) is now behind Markelle Fultz and Papa Johns is a pizza. Oh, and there was JJ Barea.

I thought a random lottery would be good because there would be no real incentive to tank no matter where you were in the standings. The second way doesn't sound like a bad solution, though it would be pretty easy to manipulate as a team near the bottom could play all his raw players that he wants to keep in the long run down the stretch. A lottery is kind of exciting too for those with not the best teams.
