It's too easy and sensible...especially with Tyson. Deal will be done quick.
JMac1 wrote:First. We are definitively the best trade partner in this Melo Cleveland Kyrie NYK deal.
Second. Zingis is not getting traded.
Third. Bledsoe Melo James and Love is better than last year.
Fourth. Kyrie and Zingis is nice
Fifth. We don't want Love if Bledsoe is gone.
Sixth. I'd take Frank and picks from NYK and Cleveland for Bledsoe.
Seventh. Melo James and Love is no better than last year.
Eighth. Kyrie and Booker don't go well together, however if it doesn't cost Jackson, I'd be willing to roll the die with Kyrie, Booker, and Jackson going forward.
Ninth. Knicks want Kyrie so eighth won't happen.
Tenth. Knicks need to give up more than Melo to get Kyrie. And that's why we come in. Cleveland wouldn't want Frank and picks over Bledsoe. So Cleveland gets Bledsoe and Melo for Kyrie....James go nowhere. Knicks get Kyrie for Melo picks and Frank. We get Frank and picks for Bledsoe.....simple trade.

I was thinking around the same thing...shocker! The only problem is Melo makes about $6 million more than Kyrie, and the Cavs are way over the cap, so they'd have to dump Shumpert or Frye or someone somewhere. I suppose it makes sense for NY to have to take it back since they are getting the better player in the swap, but then again, they are also giving up Frank. So the question then is, would NY trade Frank, Melo and take back Frye or Shumpert, Kyrie...Frye makes a little more sense for them since they just signed Hardaway....funny side note..NY drafted both Frye and Shumpert.

I think they would to get Kyrie to pair with Kristaps...that's what you are more concerned with going forward.

I don't think Kyrie is a superstar. He's an all-star. A guy who can score a lot, look good doing it, and that's it. He doesn't make his teammates better. People forget how badly everyone looked at him before LeBron got there and also before they went on that comeback in the finals. National media guys were trashing him and theorizing Kyrie trades during the finals. Then they go on the comeback and the perception of him swings back way too much the other way. "He's a top X player in the league." Nah. He's just a great scorer and fun to watch and lucky to play with one of the best players ever. A team like NY is going to get him and he's gonna chuck up 30 shots a game and be the next Melo for them.
And yeah, too bad NY didn't draft DSJ, then this would be great.
