Plus, the Suns need to cut salary --
Richards for future seconds is good to me

Funny, I posted about a Richards to the Celtics premise for Pritchard and their 2nd just awhile ago earlier too. Now there's an article about the premise.....lol. I definitely wouldn't hate the idea if it were to happen!

The Suns fan still cut the necessary salary though man by trading O'neale, Martin and Allen for lesser contracts or minimal to no salary return ( future picks).

Personally, the two trades that I do like are:

1- Allen
Allen to Milwaukee for Connaughton ( $ 9 million expiring contract)/ Tyler Smith.

O'neale/ Martin/CLE 27' 1st/ BOS 2nd
To Utah for K Mart Jr ( 7 million expiring)/ Micah Potter ( Two way- Kleber)/ 43rd pick. :D

This is from the Bucks sports nations website. Gives you a good inside feel how the team and fans felt about him.

When we talk about really cutting salary, and thinking of Allen or O'neale, there is a trade we could consider.

Rven though I don't ever like the idea of helping out the flakers, one trade that I would consider ( last option choice) just to dump salary would be:

Allen or O'neale w/ Richards ( because they're desperate for a center)!! For either Klebers' $11 million or Vincent's $11 million expiring contract and the 55th pick. ( Don't really care about using it as much as just taking it from them so they can't use it themselves).

I think that they'd definitely consider it with both Finney Smith and Reeves opting out.

Think it says they're going to work on a deal next summer or something. Can also probably get more on open market from another team if he has a another good year

Isn't Prictard gonna be their main guy off the bench this year? White plays the PG and Simon's the 2, Jalen the 3 but Pritchard is gonna get alot of mins. He almost won 6MOTY for them.

I dont think we'll get him at all. He'll be their starter if they end up moving White or Jaylen this summer and is beloved by that fan base (for obvious reasons....)

I think its more like we can dump Royce on them along with Richards and get back someone like Hauser or Niang.

Thanks for that info man. I'd still ask because you lose nothing by inquiring about it, and currently they're fairly desperate to try and become more competitive and convince Giannis to stay. And between Allen and Connaughton, I'd place Allen as having more value.

But even worst case scenario, if they said no! There'll be other teams to pivot to as teams could always use shooting/ floor spacing. :D

I'd have to think that it depends upon what they view as the more critical position. I mean, they lost Porzingis, and Horfords' an unrestricted free agent, obviously their frontcourt is pretty thin. And like you said, they still have White and now Simons too. Then you'd have to ask yourself which position is really harder to secure in free agency??

I think the article gives perspective on their priorities too.

Also not sure how much they'll be willing to spend to bring either back with James also deciding to return for his 100th season or whatever! How far in the tax are they likely to go? Because Allen and/ or O'neale are already on multiyear deals for significantly cheaper than whatever Finney Smith and Reeves (especially) would command I'd think.

So only giving up an expiring and a late 2nd for quality insurance seems reasonable to me.

The CBA

I'd check it again. The reason the deal has to wait until the new league year is because Jalen Green's salary number isn't high enough for it to work out for Houston until then.

I could be wrong but my understanding is a 2nd apron team can't take back more salary than they trade out. Green+Brooks+10th pick salary slot is a little more than KDs number. If they get under the second apron then it's legal.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

The only theory that I can come up with is the Bulls offload PWills longer term contract and get cap space in two summers.

Granted, if one looks at the Bulls salary cap

Jevon Carter, Vucevic and Zach Collins all are expiring this summer
Lonzo Ball has a 10m option next year - Club, not player
Jalen Smith expires next summer

It truly makes ZERO sense - unless they trade for Beal and buy him out for $90m and save the owner, a bunch of cash
