I’m just going to put this out there. Having Doncic and Ayton in their own tier is something I’m not that sold on. I really do like Young And Bagley a lot now since we’ve been chatting it up these past few weeks. I really like Duke4life defense assessment on Bagley and before too long I might be totally off of Ayton.

Not afraid to take Young at 1 as well. I’m looking for the best player, Not acceptance from the Realgm board room.

Looks like a very nice guide. Interesting it names Phoenix as best landing fit for Doncic and then names Memphis/Orlando as two bad landing fits because they are not a model of stable management.

Edit: Also interesting it lists Phx has best landing fit for JJJr and Young but not for anyone else in the top 10 outside of the three I mentioned.

A lot of good anaylsis though.

Mitchell Robinson has the Suns listed as one of the best landing spots! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I'd also like to think that by the time the pre-draft workouts end, we'll have a better idea.
Guys will probably move up on boards. I wouldn't be surprised if someone like Wendell Carter or Young go higher than many expect.

Young will be a top 5 pick. Carter will also be moved up, while Bamba will drop to around 9 or 10.

The guy can shoot, defend and is super athletic. Him and Josh Jackson could create havoc on the defensive end. Pick up khyrie Thomas at 16 and have a really fast disruptive line up of thomas- booker- bridges-Jackson- bender. It’s a reach for bridges that high but I still think he’s probably the most ready out of those guy and has the least question marks.

I have often thought of him and WISHED he was a little taller with a LOT longer length because I think he'd make a great small ball four.

You could say the same about Mikal Bridges but a lot of the people here would probably consider him more of a role player since he mostly is just an elite defender/shooter like JJJ that many people don't seem to like the elite role players needed today.

I am pretty sure that Miles Bridges is 6'7 or even a little more and he has a wide body...probably bigger than Draymond Green.

I think that he is gonna be able to play PF because he is so strong and he likes to play physical ball.

I would like to get him, but probably #4 is too high for him.

Yeah, I know but I had looked at his wingspan before and it's more like 6'9 whereas Draymond Green's is over 7'1, so it would hurt defensively.

my
I will agree - get the best player for the next 10 years. I have Young in the 3/4 range on my board as from what I have seen, and read, Doncic/Ayton are the top two. But, I am open to taking the best BASKETBALL player. Suns do not need to fall into this trap of trying to fill Center because its the highest priority. Get the best player(s) possible.

I get that but I hope the NBA has evolved from the Big man debate versus best player. Meaning, does the potential for a dominant big man (Ayton) take precedence over potentially better players, Doncic, Young.

No, it hasn't completely evolved, though no one really knows who will be the best player yet. Plus, I can't remember what podcast I said, but someone said that GMs don't want to be the guy who takes a euro who busts. That they'd take a lot more heat for that than if they took Ayton and he was a bust.

I would probably agree with that about the Euro draft bust. But maybe Porzingis - who was a recent top 4 pick - would pave the way for Doncic .
Ayton is the easy and safe pick if the Suns get number 1 - that's for sure.

So both ESPN and Tankathon have our board as Ayton, Doncic, Jackson, Bagley.

Much better than Tankathon!

We played 10 times and didn’t get #4 once. I know I should 36 percent of the time, with Tankathon it was 4 sixty percent of the time.

Mostly 3 then 2 then 1

The picks change drastically compared to Tankathon as well.

Yea. Milicic soured people on Eruos big time. Doncic could fall to 4. After Ayton Bagley and JJJ.

Return to Phoenix Suns
