Yeah, you're missing the fact that outside of the top two, this draft is kind of a crapshoot. A guy like Myles Turner or Bobby Portis would probably be top 5 this year.

Am I the only one that kinda likes the idea of Malik Newman in the late 1st/early 2nd range? I haven't watched him a ton but he seems pretty dynamic in the open court, decent ball handler, kind of a Monta Ellis thing going on. Obviously it's for the long term, and assuming Bled or Knight plus Goodwin are gone (which I expect by 2017 off season), I like him as maybe a scoring spark off the bench.

Agreed. Its not even that polarizing of an opinion anymore. As much as the ESPN talkinghead hypemachine would like you to believe that their Wonder Boy has it all locked up

I agree with you. Simmons lack of shot makes him one dimensional and much easier to guard. Plus benched because of academics, plays with no effort defensively... concerns me for his future

Simmons struggled but I haven't soured on him yet. Still #1 IMO. His James Harden-level disinterest is a little worrisome though.

The more I watch Buddy Heild the more I want him on the suns even though we have Booker already.

No way is Ingram ahead.

Shot 10 of 31 in his last 2 games and that's supposed to be his difference to Simmons.

The huge problem I see is we dont have a starting PF. The only decent free agent this offseason is Al Horford and I doubt he's gonna come here. Otherwise were stuck with someone like Leur, Teletovic as a starter. Which means another year in the tank.

Simmons is shooting 65% from the line in conference play this month, 56% overall. He was supposed to be reliable from the charity stripe

It would be nice to have a bunch of elite scorers if our less efficient scoring point guards who like to jack up shots would pass to the more efficient scorers.

Also last six games he's 31 for 88 (35%) and this is the stretch where's he's supposedly overtaking Simmons. Ppl are just sick of ESPN shoving him own our throats and rightfully so. Simmons doesn't shoot 3's and can still score at will. Speaks to his talent.

If we get Simmons, he needs to be our primary ball handler, but then we have two combo guards who over dribble and are not great shooters.

I'll be happy with either.

The "P" word, factored in with his youth I guess. If he takes it seriously, and has the right work ethic he can be a lockdown defender, and improve his shot. Then you have at least a poor mans Kwahi or Iggy, (J-Rich, Caron Butler the other names they compare him to) etc... Although different players he is somewhat the same mold as Stanimal and Winslow were last year - its just not such a good draft by the looks of it, but those 2 dudes went top 10 as well.

Brown reminds me of Bledsoe if he was a 6'7.

Top 1 and 2 pick shooting 30%ish from the floor. What a year to tank...
