I don't think Beal wants out at all. He's got a good shot to make an all NBA team this year and become super max eligible when his deal is up. That's a lot of coin.

Now the super max they gave to wall obviously didn't work out so maybe Washington moves him before they have to deal with it.

No mention of him wanting out. He's been saying all the rights things, that he wants to spend his entire career with the Wizards and everything. Only reason I could think he is trades is if they fire their current GM and replace him with someone that wants an entire roster overhaul. Beal saying all the rights things though could easily be him not wanting to be made out to be the bad guy.

How much would you pay Beal on his next deal? It would probably start somewhere around $35 million. A max could be more.

Depends how well the team is doing. He's been very healthy the last three seasons, and his contract ends in the summer of 2021, when he'll be 28. I would hope, if we traded for him this off-season, we'd make the playoffs in 2020 and 2021. I'd definitely give him whatever he wants to keep this team together.

I love Beal but I'm not entirely sure he is the best fit with Book long term at that price. His defense is far better than Book's but still below average.

I really like Conley. It's hard to decide who I like more between him and Jrue. Jrue can seem like the better fit for defense, age, and he's a bit cheaper, but Conley I think is a little better player overall and seems to be a better leader/vet the team could need and his contract would end sooner and I think/hope we could move on to someone we have groomed behind him. Though I'd love Jrue too...just a worse shooter from deep, worse ast/to ratio and more of a SG. Conley also feels more clutch.

The comparisons are interesting....Conley wins out advanced on WS/48, OBPM, BPM, DRTG..Beal on VORP.

On RPM, Jrue is 10th, Conley 20th and Beal 59th...by far the worst defense there.

Offensive RPM, Conley is 7th, Jrue 12th and Beal 14th.

I really REALLY like this move. Hopefully we can signing for next season too.

I think he deserves another opportunity in the league, he is a supertalented player that is gonna play with a chip in his shoulder.

Qwigglez wrote:Crazy how bad the Rockets actually are. They got a shell of Chris Paul. The rest of their roster, besides James Harden are really bad. James Harden is really carrying that team, I don't see how they make it the 2nd round of the playoffs.

Eric Gordon bring out with injuries has hurt them too.

James Harden is gonna wear down pretty soon. He’s playing insane amount of minutes while basically being asked to produce for every minute he’s on the court, not like he gets to take mini breaks while he’s playing.

Can’t be worse on the court then Jamal.

This anchor biases judgment by a lot. Being better than Jamal in no way means said player is good for the Suns.

Jimmer has been given another shot. And another. And another. He was around for 7 seasons already. Expecting a sudden big change from a 30 year old is against all odds.

I don't mind giving him a look and shooters are useful but my expectations are very very low.

It's official. What a waste. I guess they want a Daniels version with more playmaking.

I just noticed I was blocked by Gambo on twitter

I think it’s because I would correct him and call him out for not breaking Suns news :)

I don’t hate this signing. This is such a low risk move

Agreed with BobbieL, I don't mind the signing. If he sucks, just don't play em.

Shouldn’t we sign the vet min for 2020 after spending out cap this offseason?

It was probably the only chance to sign him.
IMO, this may be more of a move to boost attendance a little bit.

It doesn't really matter, you get charged incomplete roster holds for about that amount when under 12 guys anyway. Plus it's non guaranteed so they can waive him if they need that little bit of space.

Woj reporting that Oubre has a broken thumb. Minor procedure. Surgery and out the rest of the year.

Hence the Jimmer signing maybe. I really am okay - if he can shoot the ball, I like it

One free agent vet signing down! The targeted FA approach has begun.
