I'd like to see a lineup of Book/Ross/TJ/Durant/Ayton at some point.

The issue is that TJ doesn't fix well in with the current offense of the Suns. Monty wants player who are going to making up their mind in .5 seconds on what do to be most effective Pass, Dibble or shoot. With TJ it is always score and he becomes a blackhole on the offense in that once it goes into him it doesn't escape. I know people love TJ because he was a brightspot during a very dark time but at least look at him realistically.

Ross makes TJ look like the most unselfish player. I feel Ross is about to shoot the ball the second he touches it.

hard to argue when he's shooting 48/42/81 as a Sun on 5.3 3FGAs a game. If TJ can get close to that level, I am very confident about our bench scoring for the playoffs.

Nothing wrong with shooting every time you get as long as you can make it. And unlike Okogie and Craig, we don't have to worry about Ross turning the ball over much.

Okogi for TJ would be better, or even Bazley or Craig would offer more balance, I believe.
But your idea is great.
If we prepare this and do not shlow it to anybody before the PO, it could be a revolution.

I would like to tell you all about a big offtopic related to the forum and realgm.
Some months ago I was expelled from here due to the fact that I critized the same group of people Kyrie did (no more explanations needed).
I have been trying to get my account back or a new one for months.
A few weeks ago I was given a new account, unexpecteadly.
Now my antivirus just told me that my personal data is shown, saved and offered in the dark web through a hole in realgm.
I do not know whether the two facts are related, I also do not know whether my data exposed there could be dangerous, although there is no economic data associated here.
But the facts just got my attention.

His salvation is shooting the 3-ball. If he is shooting away like Ross instead of taking time to try and get a shot he's more comfortable with (e.g middy floater), then he can play in that .5 system. In his first 11 games back as a Sun, he's taken 6 3PA combined. In his last two games, he's taken 8 and hit 3. That is what's going to get him PT because we know what he can do from midrange but that's a crowded area especially with DA in there. But if he can shoot the 3, then he's going to get opportunities.

It's also what we expect him to do out there. We don't want him over dribbling, trying to create for himself or others, we just need him to put points on the board. He's been doing that for a decade off the bench and it's exactly why we got him.

yeah exactly. a HUGE part of any championship contender is that you can count on each role player to do their job at least 75-80% of the time. Hope Thunderbolt and now TJ can keep that up.

I'll say this: Denver almost lost to the Embiid-less Sixers after being up by 20.

If we get KD back and running, we can take the west. Monty or no Monty. Crappy bench be damned. Though I don't think our bench is THAT bad, these guys are playing starters mins cause that Durant guy isn't playing....yet.

A good bench is a consistent one and I don't think we're there yet. To be fair though, the main bucket getters off the bench (Payne, Ross, TJ and Shamet have either arrived not long ago or have missed significant time so every minute they play, they should get better.

Twolves / Pels emerging as potential suitors for the 5 seed. Both very talented teams, but I’d def rather play them over the Warriors / Clips. If we have championship aspirations, we can’t we scared of wolves or pelicans.

Also, I think both the Warrs and Clips would drop to 6 if given the opportunity. Problem is, only one team gets it, and it’s too crowded to think about until 2-3 games are left, and the picture becomes clearer.

2022-23 Season Discussion and Speculation 6 - The Final Stretch

Post#579 » by Jdiddy701 » Tue Mar 28, 2023 5:00 am

If the Suns have an opportunity in the last game of the season to drop to 6, I hope they rest all their players. Lol would love to face the Kings. They have no one to bother Booker and Durant. Would be a quick series in my opinion.. the Kings are a good team but have been fortunate throughout the season to have all their guys healthy. Don’t think they’re as good as people think.

I don't want the Clips or the Pels. Both teams have the wing defenders needed to bother both KD and Booker and in the Pels case they can send Avocado at Cp3 to boot. I'll take the Dubs, LAL or my top choice the Mavs.

Return to Phoenix Suns
