But in this context, this is just a distraction from the rightful criticism Sarver is getting right now. Discrediting people like Lebron when they call out Sarver's behavior just tells me you'd rather not think about this issue. Who CARES if LBJ is a hypocrite or not!!! He is absolutely on the money about Sarver and that should be the only thing relevant in this convo.
Keep being dishonest and immature about this, it sets a good example for the rest of this board on how not to behave or approach meaningful topics.
Go away dude.
I responded to a post that was SPECIFICALLY about LeBron's commentary on the situation. Their post happened to be in this Sarver thread. Deal with it and stop conflating what it is I'm addressing. I can be critical of LeBron without making Sarver a saint.
I'm just gonna leave you with this;
Nah the new American Dream is cancellation without chance of redemption depending on who/what you are or your political leanings. Btw the NBA didn't NOT do anything to the man. If he's to go it should be decided by the Suns board not the NBA.
Now, that post you wrote a few days ago, is it just a coincidence that this reads with the same immature whiney energy that Sarver showed in his whole "As a man of faith..." paragraph? Quit the dogwhistles, you've been defending Sarver in the thread for days now until the whole board responded to you and made you sit tf down. Now you know lost that argument so you're pettily going after people like Lebron when they speak out about Sarver. It's so obvious what you're doing, and I think I speak for everyone here when I say it would be much more pleasant around here if you just knocked it off and shut the **** up about this.
You conveniently left out the other parts of my comments like
"Sarver was clearly a misogynistic frat boy-esque douche for a long time, but racist? Stop, it's depleting brain cells trying to claim anything he said was racially charged".
He was levied with a full year suspension from a team he spent nearly 20 years helping to build and a $10 million fine (more money than you'll ever earn in your lifetime). I felt that was fair given what I read in the report and so did Adam Silver. I make no qualms about my beef with cancel culture and not being allowed to redeem oneself. That's the part of it I had a problem with.
None of this changes the fact that I'm talking specifically about LeBron in the post you decided to wade into. None of this changes that fact you excused LeBron's hypocrisy regarding a man who literally sexually accosted women (didn't just ask them if they got upgrades in the offseason).
