Since when does the guy who went 48th get drafted ahead of the guy that went 44th? Budinger solidified himself on the roster last season so going for garbage buckets in SL isn't going to change his chances of making the team.

That said I didn't actual see the game so I don't know how inappropriate it was, but the excuses you gave were pretty lame.

I only saw the last qtr and Lawal looked very good but he was def out of shape. When he got the ball against Hill he just overpowered Hill and dunked on him. Good finisher in transition i wanna see a replay of his first dunk that the announcers were talking about.

EC just kept chucking he needs to play smarter, def a SF... any word on D-Collins?

btw Patrick Patterson is legit.

Highlight of Lawal's dunk under "rising sun"
http://www.nba.com/summerleague/games/2 ... einfo.html

-We'll find out tomorrow if EC understands what good shot selection is
-Dwayne Collins looks to be out for SL. He starts practicing again next week and hopes to be back in time for training camp.

I didnt see the game but I gotta think this is basically a Earl Clark/Lawal showcase. Anything/one after that is pretty much an afterthought. Im sure Clark has the green light to shoot whenever he wants and was encouraged to do so, especially if hes been working on his shot mechanics over the summer like its been reported. Lets give him the summer before we start pushing judgment on him already.

Also, not everyone is going to flourish in their second season like Lopez/Dragic did, keep in mind it took joe johnson about 4 years before the light bulb turned on.... Its not like we are contending anyways. No rush.

Jermaine taylor was the 32nd pick..... The Rockets paid a record 2.5million for his draft rights.

What happened was the Rockets were up by double digit with the clock winding down and Taylor tried to go for the dunk but got fouled hard by Griffin. Its frown upon for sure but its the summer league. Everybody is going for stats.

Just finished watching it. Lawal, when he finally decided to be a man against Hill, was very fun to wach. Charged through him on two consecutive trips. I liked when he decided to be a man. Clark needs to not settle for shots, but he even said that

Earl Clark looks like he's got a bigger frame now. but he still takes stupid jumpshots. unless he learns to select good shots, I doubt he'll get much more playing time over last season.

Gani Lawal is a beast. I really liked how he attacked the basket on numerous occasions. And his defense was good. I hope Dwayne Collins comes back in the SL. Apparently he's a banger down low.

Earl should never try a jumpshot unless he is set and is wide open.

That would have been a ridiculous dunk if he made it. He took off from a looooooong way away.
