essentially its comes right down to him playing out there with nash. we thought hedo would be a nice compliment to nash but no mas. I think the suns could use a guy that can post up vs smaller guys be an finisher.

I'm more of a NBA fan, in general though... Been following the NBA since I was 7 years old and got hooked on the Bad Boys Pistons era. Clearly people here have already chimed in about VC's game and what to expect, I don't post too often on the boards; but like to read what people have to say. I find time to read and comment when I'm not busy with work and coaching my high school team.
Just wanted to introduce myself and I hope VC can prove to all of you, as well as the other NBA fans that he still has a lot left, just was in the wrong system in Orlando regardless of the stats he put up and the production he attained while not having the ball in his hands enough.
ORL fans are saying that he didn't fit well with Jameer since he's not very good off-ball. What's your take? That's worrisome to me since Nash is the system here. He produced next to Kidd, but I don't actually remember specifically how the two played together.
wassssssupppp guys.
the difference between kidd and meer, is kidd has great court vision, and is usually looking to set up his teammates. meer, is looking to create his own shot, or looking to get howard the ball. sometimes it appeared that jameer was looking the opposite way of carter, intentionally. something wasnt right in that locker room, so a trade had to be made, or fire svg.

Hi everyone ,another VC-Grant Hill fan is here from Turkey.
I have been reading these boards since 2005 but suddenly I decided to write too when I saw my 2 fav players joined in a team.Dont listen some of the Magic fans who really hate VC and prejudge him.Im sure he will struggle a few games at first but I believe he will be OK then and help Suns making playoffs.Vince plays good to prove himself when they act like VC is underdog.
Well lets have a good time till the end of the season. And sorry for my bad english, still trying to improve

Looks like all my fellow VC fans are swarming the Suns board now. haha.
Let me warn you guys, we VC fans are very passionate about Vince but we're not on an agenda on here or won't be blaming the suns or anything. We know Vince is past his prime and we don't expect him to lead this tema to a championship or something, but we know he still has enough left in the tank to help this team into the playoffs.
Some positives coming from VC fans.
We have the best b-ball mixers out there. You guy's have already seen Max's works, but check out Saadj15 and Srecollect. Both huge VC fans and make amazing mixes.

unfortunately yes, since some ignorant members who call themselves fans! want him to average 20-5-5 with 12 FGA, 29 minutes per game. You can't debate with them because if you prove them wrong (which usually happens) by using facts like stats, they forget what they said and act like nothing happened. they're barefaced stinkers. i've been trying to ignore them but they're just too much but at least, i won't see most of them here.
haters can hate, it's normal and acceptable but.. if you don't know what you're talking about, you should just stfu.

yep, vince has been pretty efficient this year with his numbers..he was trying to fit in with the magic but the fans wanted playmaking/scoring vince and van gundy used vince in a total opposite way

Re: Hi guys, VC fan here.
I'm excited to have Air Canada and Hair Canada on the same team, in the same backcourt.
Vince will play very well in PHX, he won't have any problem being involved in our offense and that will lend itself to his overall interest in the style of team basketball that the Suns play. That, and he's with a tremendous fast-breaking PG again, just like when he was with Kidd.
I think ORL is the worst fastbreak team in the league, doesn't help for a guy who excels in that area now does it...?

I am sorry people have high expectations for a supposed hall of fame player.

Re: Hi guys, VC fan here.
As far as Magic vs VCO fans, I think there was a wash.
Some VC fans used to blame everyone but Vince and call out SVG for not getting Vince the ball more, even though Dwight was the one having a monster games, and nothing was ever his fault.
On the flip side, a lot of Magic fans were disappointed with Vince's performance last year, and let that carry over into this year. He was often blamed for things that were completely out of his control, or any time he got hurt, everyone used to question whether it was real or not. A lot of losses were blamed on him, unfairly. I used to stick up for him a lot, and thought a lot of us would unnecessarily shaft him on almost every loss. I remember quite a few of us blamed him for our first loss against MIA, when it looked like 2 or 3 people actually fell on him. Same thing with our win against Charlotte.
I'll definitely miss Max's incredible mixes (he usually makes them for Vince and his teammates), and I'll miss RvM, definitely one of our better posters.

Anybody who thinks someone should average 20+ points when they are only playing 30 MPG and only getting 12 shots/game should be sterilized so as not to pass on their unbelievable stupidity to future generations.

Re: Hi guys, VC fan here.
Like RvM & others I'm one of those horrible Player fans of VC (also like the Raptors & have a fondness for Nets). Outside of this post I don't think I'll post much on this board yet since I don't want to drag in the "haters" & "fanboys" that end up cluttering the board with he said/she said drivel that annoy the regular/long term posters and really we don't even know Vince's future with this team this year if any (let alone the future).
I think you'll find that most Vince fans are reasonable people who will concede Vince's faults (you will definitely be annoyed when Vince reacts to a minor injury as if he was body slammed from the Sky to the Earth by Atlas) & praise his strengths (you will see how unselfish he is amongst other positive factors) and are open to fair, civil discussion but obviously you guys will be the judge of that.
Here's what I said about Vince on the GB:
He was having a decent year with Orlando. I understand that "decent" is not what fans expect of a guy of Vince's caliber and of his salary.
I just think he didn't mesh well in SVG's system as the sometimes 2nd/3rd/4th offensive option and he & Jameer's styles didn't mesh good enough to maximize his talents. Orlando was a good team (last season was underrated because of the debacle vs Boston in the Playoffs but that Magic team was very good & stats reflected that) and I'm sure Vince was happy to play for his hometown & a true contender and a amazing player like Dwight.
However, sometimes the puzzle pieces just don't fit. I think the trades will be good for the Magic and hopefully good for Vince too (who even knows if Suns don't move him before year end).
Current Season Stats:
FG%: 47 (highest in his career)
3pt%: 0.346
FT%: 0.747
Rebounds: 4.1/game
Assists: 2.9/game
Pts: 15.1 / game
EFG%: 0.521 (highest in his career)
TS%: 0.557 (2nd highest in his career)
PER: 16.7
* doing this at 30.2 minutes / game (lowest minutes per game in his career...in fact his two season with Orlando are the lowest & 3rd lowest minutes per game of his career)
* doing this at a 23.5% Usage (lowest of his career)

This same idiot is trolling the Magic board saying things like "it's going to be a long 4 years with Arenas".
