Does management think that Brandon Knight is the next Steph Curry?

Are we ready to quit on the dual PG lineup?

Do we think Bledsoe has peaked?

Are we worried about his knee? :noway:

Or is this just a bunch of bull.

He was vocal about how he didn't like the Suns using RFA against him last summer. He's apparently staying in Phoenix this summer, attending workouts and being a team player. I can't imagine this not hurting a little bit if this is true.

Doubtful.

I was ready to quit on it before it even happened.

More or less.

Yes, I am worried about his knee.

I hope its not bull.

Thus my point of not trading up all the way (or at all) to #4 for him, if he's who you want.

I don't really like him, to your own point, I don't think there is anyone available at the spot to justify trading Bledsoe. Again, I was trying to read McD's draft strat. The speculation was not a direct reflection of my own personal wants for the team.

Knicks could very well take him at #4, as speculated in this article that was released today...

#13+ Bled for the Knick's 34 is only worth it if Hinke's Sixers go wildcard and take one of the Euro bigs(Hezonja, Porzingis) leaving Russell available for us to trade up for. But if its play out that way then I wouldn't see why the Knicks would even want Bled over Russell

Melo's win-now window is closing. They also didn't bring in PJax to start a rebuild, they brought him in to reload and contend (lol). So I could definitely see a reason why the Knicks may be looking at Beldsoe over an unproven rookie.

In all honesty, I saw the video where he said that, and it sound more like he was just repeating what his agent was saying to him. He didn't sound like he had ill will towards the team, because he followed that statement with, "and I understand that".

Well then hopefully we can cash in on the so called Zen Master's desperation/lack of clarity

If we're going into a "full rebuild' which I don't want to see begin again, then NY would be a good trade partner. Hopefully we can get away with more than we give up.

My gut is that McD wants Porzingis for Bledsoe. All positions are set except for SG if that were to happen, and who knows maybe Archie could blossom.

I'll be honest. Haven't been paying attention at all. Pozingis - hahahaha - until I watched the Vegas workout. Still has bust potential, but I never remember Darko moving that way.

Pretty impressive. Again, still bust potential, but I can see the intruige and don't disagree that Hus ceiling is higher than anyone in this draft.

More like, everything is set except PG. Knight shouldn't be a main ball-handler, that's just not his game. He is a combo guard, and should only take ball-handling duties while main PG is resting on the bench.

Problem is looking for a "pure", pass-first PG in the draft will most likely net you the likes of Kendall Marshall and Ennis. The truly elite PGs in this league are equally prolific floor generals as they are scorers

I'm confident that if McD is moving Bled for the #4 its for a good reason and he must be sold on whatever player he picks there. I trust McD to make the right pick he has a great track record, I just wonder who it is. If its Porz so be it, but I'm not that sold on anyone here besides Russell. I love his game.

Exactly! Elite pure point guards are extremely rare these days, and it's not an imperative that the Suns get one. But still, i want my point guard to have that playmaking instinct. Nothing extraordinary, but good enough to know what he's doing with the ball. I just don't think Knight is that guy. We should use him more as a pure scorer than a playmaker.

I think this could hypothetically happen with or without Calderon/Morriss involved.

Calderon + #4 for Morris + Morris + Bledsoe

Then draft Best PF available at #13, Kaminsky, Portis, Looney, Lyles, ect.

Throw a nice contract at a realistic target like Millsap.

Knight/Calderon
Russell/Goodwin
Warren/Tucker
Millsap/#13
Len/Wright

or..

Calderon-Knight-Tucker-Millsap-Len (vet starting 5 - The 4 defenders make up for Calderon's lack of defense- but Calderon provides the offensive distribution.)
Russell-Goodwin-Warren-#13-Wright (youthful bench - can learn from the vets until they are ready to take over - Wright/Len being the only exception)

Probably a pipe dream but I don't think it's out of the realm of impossibility. I really like that core.

If the FO has no plans on trading him id imagine theyd be the talking to him immediately about it to make sure he doesnt think were really shopping him

I've been absent a long time but can't help weighing in - I'd love to see the Suns get WCS. I think Bledsoe is too expensive and too prone to injury to pin hopes on. Would have been much better to trade him and keep the Dragon ....

Shot blocker, defender, decent rebounder, good finisher around the rim and has an improving short jumper, hook. Offensive rebounding skill -

I can see him blocking a shot and starting the break. How i like to see the Suns play, but with some stopping power in the middle

Welcome back JohnVancouver

Now that Nash has retired, any chance you'll come back to the Suns board full time?

Return to Phoenix Suns
