Anderson was also the subject of trade discussions with the Phoenix Suns, who offered Markieff Morris earlier this season.

However, the Suns would now prefer a package of young players or draft picks in any trade for Morris, league sources tell SherindanHoops.

Hopefully this is true. :D

-50% chance we keep Keef until the summer. Why? In the beginning of the season, Keef played bad so we would lose to screw up our playoff hopes. Now we WANT to lose so it is in his best interest to play well to screw up our tank. But this benefits us in the long run as his value will build back up. Plus again, the suns love to drag stuff out.

Don't scare me :eek2:

No Kanter please! The last thing this team needs is another 100% offense 0% defence player.
With Bled, Knight, Warren and Booker we have lots of firepower already. What we need is a smart two way player. Spurs type player.

I think we are a lot more open to trading Knight now than we expected to be at the start of the season.

- We were convinced that we would be contenders this season, and the Bledsoe/ Knight backcourt showed early promise.

- We had no other established SG options; Goodwin had not proven anything consistently, we drafted a raw 19 year old, and signed an unknown guy from Europe.

Given what we know and where we are at now, that Booker has solidified a spot as the long term starter and we're not going anywhere this season, you have to figure that Knight isn't as untouchable as he once was.

I think he'll be flipped in the offseason pending a Bledsoe return (given Bled is untradeable right now) but wouldn't be surprised if BK is gone before that.

I recall the last time we dumped a high priced guard (Marbury) and played out the season with two young guys (Barbosa and JJ) as our starters. The following year, we added a PG, who brought the best out of the young guys and turned a young PF into a superstar.

Also, I can definitely see Chandler getting traded. Like AtheJ mentioned, all it will take is an open, honest conversation asking him what he wants and accommodating his wish as a veteran. He obviously came here under the illusion that we were going to woo his mate Aldridge and take the west by storm. I guarantee this is not what he signed up for and it's probably why he's sometimes frustrated on the court. He wants to contribute to a contender.

Flip him for an expiring, put out a press release that makes us look like the good guys and have him spin a few quotes to help repair our awful image.

If Noah is an expiring and complaining about not starting, you do that deal. We need healthy bodies, and he's a very underrated passer for a big man. Alex could learn from him while his hand heals.

Lastly on Morris - I hope we are playing Toronto against Detroit right now. Detroit obviously have interest and we could probably land Jennings straight up.

Now that Toronto is "claiming" they will do a pick for a PF, and we are now "claiming" we want to trade a PF for a pick (funny about that hey?) we've found an offer that is more desirable than Detroit's.

I can totally see us trying to eek a little more out of a trade now that there is a market (albeit a marginal one) and Keef is probably going to get minutes (showcased?) on this road trip.

Just hope he's gone by the time they get back to PHX.

The truth is Houston has better players to offer than either for a team like Phoenix. I don't believe we'd want Jennings. I like him in our system, but we're trying to get better in the long run and Jennings is a UFA we could simply sign next year if we wanted him. I don't disagree that Toronto may be an option, but I don't see how Jennings for Kieff ever really was an option. It's no different than dumping him, and if we're going to do that I'd rather trade him to a team like LA or Brooklyn to help our tank. Trading for an expiring without a young player or pick attached just makes no sense whatsoever imo.

Random Writer sees we should go for younger assets, but I think the last person to see that is Sarver.

But every team will need some crap to fill 80-90m in cap space next season.

McGee, Landry, Wallace (purely cap fillers) account for $29m for the 76ers and the rest of their team salary is only $29m. So if the cap was 80-90m this year they'd need up to 60m in useless players.

Wonder if we can get that Lakers pick back lol.

45% chance of getting pick 4 or 5, even if you miss out, you go again in 2017 (protected 1-3) and 2018 (unprotected).

Not every team will hit the cap or even the minimum. If anything, the best strategy for a team that can't get a star is to spend nothing this year, watch contenders spend, and then next year when they have minimal space because these huge deals were long-term and signed in the past 2 years, while the ones coming off the books were from the cheaper CBA, then come in and win FA.

All that happens if you're under the minimum is you end up paying the difference, which is split amongst the players, to your current team. it doesn't impact your cap space or anything like that.

Trading that pick really highlights our desire to go all in on this season, doesn't it?

2016 plan: Bledsoe, Knight, Aldridge, Chandler

2016 alternative (rebuild, never really an option): Bledsoe (injured), Booker, Warren, Len, Ennis, 2x top 5 picks in the 2016 draft.

2016 reality: Bledsoe (injured), Knight (SG), Booker (SG), Chandler (C), Len (C), Warren, 1x top 5 pick in the 2016 draft.

Bledsoe, Knight, Aldridge and Chandler... with Hornacek's 3pt barrage system?....

I would of thought someone like Capilari would be the ideal coach for that... since thats Mavericks circa 2011 type of offense (Kidd, Terry, Dirk, Chandler, Marion)

Suns' Ronnie Price has elected to undergo surgery on aggravated bone chip in right big toe, league sources tell Yahoo. Expected out 3 weeks.

Not really. If we wanted to go all in the way many suggest, we'd have traded that pick for a vet 27 or 28 year old, instead of a 24 year old. That was easily a rebuild while winning trade, not a "go all in" to win trade.

We were acquiring a near-all star at a position/role that was, on paper, tailor made to his strengths. Not sure what relevance age has.

I'd do this.
Bled/Booker/Hayward sounds great. Booker doesn't have the best handles right now but I think he'll improve, and Hayward possesses pretty good ball handling skills to where Bled doesn't have to carry all PG duties. This would open up the lane for Bled to slash and then hit Booker/Hayward on the wings for the dish out if needed.

Imagine then getting Simmons in the draft... now we're talking
