Re: Suns @ Bucks
As good as PJ has played today, I hate when he has a fast break.

You know how PJ Tucker on the fast break ends.

Re: Suns @ Bucks
Tucker is the best at missing the fast break shot.

Remember when Knight and Middleton were considered about the same.

Brandon Knight 5-16, 5 turnovers.
He's 5 years older than Booker, Booker's playing a ball handling role for development not performance.

I'm not. He got crazy attention. He shouldn't have taken those last two shots though. Knight's couple of late shots could have gone to him.

Just didn't look to score when we needed him. I liked how he was trying to find teammates though. I just can't believe he's 19. He plays like a player in their peak.

Have you guys noticed when the Suns players play their old team (Knight, Bledsoe, Chandler), the Suns lose and when ex-Suns players play the Suns, we get slaughtered (Dragic, Amare, Green, Thomas, Marcus Morris, Markieff Morris is next).

I noticed that too. The guy really is a freak. It's like aliens designed his body to be unrealistically athletic. Some moves he makes looks superhuman. But yet he is so passive most of the game. That seems to be a problem with a lot of euro league guys.

I noticed. I also noticed when we play against guys who haven't played for the Suns we also lose. What gives.

Well at least at this point in this season it is in the best interest of the team to lose.

We beat @LAC the first time Bledsoe visited from memory.

Re: Suns @ Bucks
So, I got to sit behind the Suns bench at the Bucks game last night (in the highlights, I'm the dude who puts his fist up three times - I swear, I didn't do it that much - those were just the plays they happened to choose!). And man, does my neck hurt (trying to watch the other end of the court from that angle). But I learned some things; it gave me some perspective on our squad. Here it is:
- Booker is cool and relaxed. Team and coaching staff got pissed at him when he got trapped on the baseline in the third (I think it was the third). He's just chill.
- Alex is quiet. Not as thick as I imagined, more athletic when you watch him up close, though. Team supports him. He'd be 7'2" if his head was proportionate to his body. Thought he had the best game of everyone last night. Really frustrated Moose.
- Budinger and Leuer did not seem enthused at all. Jenkins was also quiet, though he did smile once that I saw. Leuer looked like he was rolling his eyes at the team's situation. He also had a tiny-ass head. Budinger just seemed bored and dejected.
- Goodwin sulked; didn't say much to anyone. Don't think he wants to be here. But man, does he ever have an NBA body.
- Alan Williams was cheering the team on the whole night. He's trying to carve out that "Bo Outlaw" role I think.
- Ronnie Price was one of the most vocal guys on the team. And watching him up close, his lateral quickness is crazy. I understand why he gets so much burn.
- I can definitely see why they won't trade PJ. Dude was clearly the leader of the squad. The most talkative, the most interested, totally focused, the most direct with his teammates. And he kept the team in the game with his tough play. Contenders must want him, but so do we - he really is the heart and soul.
- Knight looked cocky. Got a little impatient when he wasn't in the game. Not a bad teammate or anything. But every time he put up an ill-advised shot...
- Tyson was pissed. He was pissed the whole game. Mad at himself, mad at his teammates, just mad. All negative comments (mostly to BK for his quick trigger). I don't think he wants to be here.
Coaches:
- Earl Watson was quick and decisive. Pretty clearly has control and the respect of the team.
- Earl spent more time talking to Bob Hill than anyone else on the staff.
- Nate Bjorkgren directed the players on the bench, managed the squad.
- Corey Gaines didn't say much.
Media:
- Paul Coro was working hard the whole game. Focused. I did get to shake his hand, though. Nice guy, real class act.
One note on the Bucks:
- Giannis didn't have the best statline, but he is nuts to watch up close. Strong, long, has the ball on a string. Just an intimidating player.
One note on the refs:
It was one of the better-called games I'd seen until the fourth quarter, at which point the refs started making bad calls in the Bucks favor. Yay, ping pong balls.
AND that's it! Tremendous experience. 10/10, would recommend. Except for all the people constantly walking in front of you and the fact that you can't see what's happening on the other end of the court.

Cosmo, that is amazing intel on the team! Thanks for posting your thoughts.
I think most of the player observations are what we might perceive, but it's another thing to actually see it up close.
Can I ask do you think the coaching staff looked 100% keyed in to wanting to win? Or were they 'ok' with losing?
