Re: The Boogie Watch
The article on the front page of realgm is interesting.
I was so concerned with Cousins fitting in, behaving, and resigning that I didn't even consider that he might attract other free agents.
Wall is a great talent, but he has underachieved, is inconsistent, and seems to have a major attitude. I'd be more concerned about him then Cousins.

I think that lineup would be incredible and I'm not one of Boogie's biggest fans. I can't see it happening though.

Washington isn't going to move Wall anytime soon imo. I could actually instead see them offering Beal to try to get somebody like Cousins. We'll see. I think Washington is in a tough spot.

I'm going to give it a shot.
Suns trade:
Bledsoe/Knight/Len/Chriss/Suns 2017/Heat 2018/Suns 2019/Heat 2021
Suns get:
Wall/Cousins/Koufus
Chandler/Koufus
Cousins/Bender
Warren/Dudley/Tucker
Booker/Barbosa
Wall/Ulis
Kings trade:
Cousins/Koufus
Kings get:
Okafor/Chriss/Suns 2017/Suns 2019
Kings trade Cousins and Koufus (which could be seen as a burdening contract)...and clear up their top heavy C position. This gives them an extremely young front court, which will allow them to focus on adding talent in the back court, in an especially PG heavy draft.
Wizards trade:
Wall
Wizards get:
Len/Bledsoe/Heat 2018/Heat 2021
I have to say that the Wiz are in need of a rebuild. Len gives them front court help which they really have none behind Gortat/Morris. Adding Bledsoe would pair nice with Beal, and they take a gamble on the Heat not being able to quickly rebuild. I for one am not sure that the lure of Miami is there anymore, and they may find it difficult to attract FAs for a few years.
Sixers trade:
Okafor
Sixers get:
Knight
This has been talked about for way too long, so i dont feel like it is needing justification.
And i'll be honest. Based on the past 15 years worth of SuperStar trades, IMO we are potentially overpaying. Garnett/Allen/Shaq/Gasol/Paul/Deron (the first time) were all traded for equal or less than what we'd be offering. The idea of trading ALL of your picks and ALL of your youth for a star player has been vastly over-rated by fans in the past few years. And i feel like the Melo trade (which was awful) is the the trade by which all fanbase trades have been based on for quite a while.

Good effort. I have no idea if it's feasible (for the other teams) but I think I'd do it if we were confident that Cousins would stay. He's good friends with Wall so that would be a big plus and Watson seems like he might be the right kind of coach for him. It would certainly be a risk but what move wouldn't be? If Bender develops as hoped, it could give us a starting lineup of all star caliber players.

Re: Season Speculation, Trade Ideas and Discussion
Okay so it's pretty crazy the idea of getting Boogie, but getting both Boogie AND Wall is just asking too much. McD would have some kind of blackmail in order for that to work.

We would sign Boogie that would be easier.
Just Bledsoe and picks should get Wall right?

It's actually easier than you think.... trade for DMC, max him in 2018, then FA Wall joins up in 2019. Like I said, if these three want to play with each other, they will. The NBA player facing free agency holds all the cards when they are at a high talent level. And the Salary cap increase is such that it's possible to afford/pay without gutting all of your team.
Hope Bled keeps working on them....as he may have more to do with this than McD.
PS.... you numbskulling traders who think we have any chance at DMC w/o Bledsoe being here need to at least read the news blurb on this site. This is the next 'Big Three' in the making.
What ? Me Worry ?

I guess that makes more sense than trading for both players. Do we really want three players who are turning 30 in 2019-20 though? Why not just get a couple more 18-19 year olds to build our future off of?

Re: The Boogie Watch
yeah... your right Calvin. What the heck do we need with a competing team. Let's go for a whole decade of collecting draft picks and rooks with potential.
Eventually you have to acknowledge that Sarver hates to lose.... and so far, the path away from that has been quite rocky. DMC represents the most viable road to relevancy. If he won't come here, then crap.... I'd trade Bled there

Re: The Boogie Watch
More like a road to mediocrity.
Suns could easily get Cousins-level talent in coming draft. Could we wait one more year before trying to be competitive.

Re: The Boogie Watch
I wonder how much the Wizards would give up for Bledsoe right about now? To them, his trade value would be Bledsoe the player, an inside track to sign Cousins, and a hook to keep Wall around when He hits free agency. Bledsoe's trade value may never be higher for a particular team.

Too bad they don't have anything valuable (for us) that they could give up.

It's good to dream. I'd love that lineup in Phoenix and I'd give up Booker in a trade to get it.
Even if that trade happened, it wouldn't be in season. It would be post lottery when everyone knows what kind of picks they're dealing with.

Maybe Otto Porter and a pick?
Imagine that for Washington. You get Bledsoe and Cousins (virtually) for Otto Porter and a pick.
