I don't buy it for a second!

1. Kevin Love is not the type of 4 we are going to run with our new offense.

2. It's obvious we are going for a youth movement. We passed on loading our roster with bargain deals for proven NBA caliber players. We passed on Lopez, Payton, and many others.

Um.. then we signed Ariza
frankly, if half theses youngsters are on this roster next yr I will be surprised

If we give up JJ and more for Kevin Love, I would hate that trade. I would hate JJ for Love straight up.

Well then they shouldnt trade for him. Let the Cavs keep him, finish 10th in the east, miss the playoffs and lose their top 10 protected pick and let love walk for nothing next summer.

Cavs don't have much leverage with Love. The Suns should not include Josh in a trade. Like you said, if Altman keeps Love, they probably are top 10 in the East and the Hawks might get that pick. IF they trade Love, maybe move Korver to another team, all of the sudden that pick is probably going to be top 10 plus oodles of cap space. Even if they take say WArren and Chriss or Bender.

Whether its the Suns or maybe the Blazers for Aminu, Harkness and Zach Collins -- Altman should move Love.

I'm not giving up major assets for Love. I think Love is actually a good fit for this team. The only thing is trading for Love would take us out of 2019 FA market and if we're spending $20m on a player, I'd rather not be on Love.

He does have a player option but its 25m so more than likely - unless Love has a very good year, he is opting in. But to your point, Ryan/Jones would have to value Love over the free agents they can get next somewhere.

So this is the reason we singed Ariza. While I am not a fan of Love he certainly is better than what we already have.
Ayton
Love
Ariza
Booker

That foursome would make us competitive night in night out.

Question for everyone.

PF is obviously a position of need.

Would you trade Josh Jackson and our 1st next year for Pozinigis?

Would you if he wasn’t coming off ACL injury?

Do you think New York would do the deal??

With no a lot injury definitely, I would even think about it now with some protection on the pick and would even add the bucks pick and Bender. New York would still hang up the phone laughing at an offer of Jackson, Bender , Bucks pick & Suns pick top 3 protected.

Our next target should be a JJJ/AD/Giannis type player. A super athletic 4.

Yes, Chris and Bender both fit the mold, but Bender looks awful in summer league. No reason why Chriss can't be as productive as JJJ, but he needs to get his mind right and I'm not holding my breath.

At worst Ayton will become a double/double machine with a little hard work. Pairing him with a defensive minded 4 who can stretch the floor will be deadly.

-I'm glad we didn't go for Aaron Gordon. Too expensive.
-Kevin Love doesn't play defense
-KP would be interesting
-AD is still untouchable. Same for Giannis

- KAT doesn't play defense. But I'd still go after him HARD if he becomes available.
-Jonathan Isac should be on our radar if Orlando fails to devolop him properly.

If only Chriss had the motor of PJ tucker....

He's definitely gonna pick up his option so I'm taking his deal as still 2yrs $50m owed to him. That's right about Ryan/Jones valuing Love over FA's. I think McD would like to make a splash next summer considering his only signing was for one year for Ariza this offseason. It's all set up for 2019. To give it up for two seasons of Love is sort of silly imo.

I don't really see KAT being a good fit on this team. Had we drafted Doncic instead, I think it would make more sense but having KAT and Ayton together diminishes their impact together.

Also JJJ is a much higher level respect as Chriss. Just from a defense standpoint, he's already a better player.

I'd love to take a look at Issac. I wasn't a fan of his during the draft but I'm warming up to him even after a shortened season.

Don’t look now but Bridges just might make Jackson expendable. It’s not a stretch to think MB will be a better player than JJ. Do you need both ?

Suns are clearly copying Rockets and Warriors with interchangeable piece for defense and offense. Its NOT Bridges OR Jackson... Its Bridges AND Jackson that will help Booker and Ayton...

The 4 core!

Only way I trade Jackson is for one of Porzingis, Davis and a happy to be a Sun Kawhi.... For Love?

You GOTS to be kidding.

Go get Bobby Portis for the MIL pick. He's going to be odd man out in CHI by the looks of it, shame cos he's a starter/good 4th-5th option I think.

Saw it on Twitter, Warren for Portis makes sense for both teams, he'd be a great fit there and Portis fits like a glove at PF with his range and rebounding.

Suns need a new strategy... And that involves defense...

Love is a liability there and would not fit well with Ayton. Rather have Jackson... Who is a versatile player who already IS the Suns answer to guard the other team's best perimeter player. And he can also score well for someone with a developing shot.

People obsessed with JUST offense need to realize that the league have adjusted to the SSOL style... You need to be able to get stops or make the other team's best scorers less efficient... To get the W in the end....

Jackson, Bridges and Ariza are proof that McD and Jones are bringing in players to throw at the perimeter scoring power of the top west teams. Booker is weak defensively so the team needs strong wing defenders around him at all times.

I love to have Reed, Jackson, Bridges and Arise around Booker and Ayton.

Would do definitely.. Loved Portis coming out of college.

Even add Bender and ask Bulls to send a future lottery protected pick.... Assuming Igor and McD has had enough of what they've seen from him.

Spurs didn't match on Kyle Anderson, so he's now with the Grizzlies. Not a bad front line with Conley - Anderson/JJJ/Gasol
