I'd rather trade TJ over Jackson tbh...

I'd move Oubre. His numbers may be good with the starters, but he is the least offensively versatile, and his lack of vision is so jarring that I'm not sure I'd want him as anything other than a bench scorer. And frankly, I think some others scream "awesome future 6th man" on this team who do a lot more. For instance, I think Okobo ends up a 6th man of the year candidate if he puts it all together. Inefficient volume scorers just aren't that valuable, and I fear that is what Oubre is. He defends too, which is why I have some hope, but I would be absolutely petrified to pay him the 8 figure deals being bantered around by the radio people.

What do the radio guys say about 8 figures? I heard someone on a pod say $14-16 which I felt was ludicrous. I mean I don't think we need him period. But if we kept him I wouldn't want to pay him more than high 7 figures a year...but would prefer to use that money elsewhere unless we can't sign players at the bigger needed positions.

I know we are fickle around here. He could be horrible in the next 3 games and I change my mind. RIght now, he looks promising.

I think we may have come closer to seeing TJ's ceiling than JJ's so I'd gamble on trading TJ.

So are you saying Lonzo is a star? Would you trade Bridges before Jackson?

Neither should be moved, at least not for the guys being mentioned. There is 1 thing we do well of late since playing the younger guys and it's deflections and steals. We still give up open 3s and dunks because our rotations are off, but we have 2 already disruptive wing defenders who can play a few positions and that matters a ton. Oubre is also disruptive as a defender but he just shoots so poorly and does nothing else on offense. I could see him being one of those guys teammates just don't pass to because they know the ball isn't ever coming back.

Oh I know neither should be moved. I was just asking his personal opinion. I mean I think Bridges is the most unmovable out of all our 3s. I know many (probably most) of the fans over twitter, blogs, etc want to move TJ but I don't think he should be moved either barring an obvious deal.

If I had to part ways with either JJ, TJ, or Bridges ....

Everyday of the week it’s TJ ... no question

I believe it was Gambo throwing out $15 a year. I would be nervous to pay him over $7. I can see the potential given tools and age, but I am not sure he has it in him to ever look to pass after receiving the ball on the move. That's a big deficiency, combined with him needing to simply shoot better.

Well I know that..you've made it obvious...that's why I asked specifically about the other two.

Yeah, if we trade TJ for another non shooter it might get really ugly. I know it's already really ugly, but you know, we never think things can get worse, and we should know better. Things can always get worse.

Every game reveals Oubre for what he is....not a 25mpg player or someone you want making plays. Hurts you more than helps.

Would you trade him for Harry Giles? I was thinking about how the Kings have been wanting a 3 and thinking of who might match in salary (and they can take back more)...he is paid about a million less.

Or I guess Skal? Seeing you mentioned him before...that might have been when I mentioned him..pondering potential Oubre trades.

Maybe one of those guys and a 2nd.

Doncic with another triple double...shot awful though...25% and 20% from 3 on high volume (5-20, 2-10)

Return to Phoenix Suns
