I know we have the big 3 but not having shooters around them (EG and Allen) sucks.

Who calls the games for the Suns these days?

Kevin Ray and Eddie Johnson

Probably a better duo than Kyrie & Luka.

Edit: 19-0 run by the Nets. Fantastic!!

He hasn't been lights out for us and he doesn't seem to do anything else other than shoot 3s.

From what I gather from Suns fans both Mikal and CamJ was already breaking out on Suns , so was the trade really necessary in order for them to really break out ?

Maybe you’re right but I heard otherwise on this very board

Yeah, his team seems to allow huge runs to teams. On minute we are leading by 6 and next down by double digits.

This team is about style and lacks substance. It's top heavy and being supported by a weak and wobbly foundation.

Took Vogel much too long to adjust to small lineup but at least he finally did. We better win this game with all 3 stars back. I don't wanna hear, "but Grayson and Gordon" if we lose again when we have 3 of the top 4 players on the court for either team

With Paul gone, Bridges would have stepped into the role. The month of so before he left, Paul was saying he was telling him not to take a back seat when him and Book get back, to keep up being aggressive, and he did so when they all came back and were looking good, then the trade was made.

That’s exactly how I remember, so he really broke out on the Suns then trade was made

I hardly recognized Shawn Marion he looks like he’s 50. I miss him dearly on the Suns. Maybe we can sign him to a two week contract?

No, it wasn't. They were evolving. Mikal would have worked very well as a 2nd option. I think sometimes he struggles being the first option in Brooklyn even though sometimes he has awesome games. But he's not a true #1 really. He was really the perfect complementary player to Book.

In order to elevate into the bona fide first option that he's become on the Nets, yeah, Bridges needed the trade. There wasn't ever going to be that opportunity on a nightly basis. He often took a high 1A option on nights when Booker got into foul trouble or was injured, but not with the regularity he's doing it at this point.

Johnson, conversely, has always been a high skill complementary piece. He could have continued to do that on the Suns had they not traded him, but he was pretty much a goner no matter what given his pending restricted free agency at season's end. The Suns weren't likely to pay him what other teams were going to offer and if they did match, I'd be hugely surprised. They matched Ayton and he's nothing near what he's getting paid, so there's that.

i know i sound like a broken record but i can't believe we have the best 2 guard in the league and they make him play point guard.

Return to Phoenix Suns
