KD is the first 55-40-90 player in NBA history

- 56 FG%
- 40.4 3-PT FG%
- 91.9 FT%

Despite playing in 47 games, Durant still qualified in each category thanks to averaging over 18 FGA per game.

it's interesting that he hardly shoots any corner 3s, but I wonder if he will increase attempts from there if we were to use him offball more here.

Yeah, he has already increased his numbers from there. In his last 3 games with the Suns he scored 5 threes from the left corner.

That's an interesting point that I'd never considered until I saw that shot chart. Guess it's just shot preference, but he's so deadly from other spot on the court that you can't really hold it against him.

Corner 3 spot should be reserved for role players anyways, Okogie and Craig should be practicing the **** out of those shots not KD.

He's never shot corner 3s...as a matter of fact he made more left corner 3s in 3 games for the Suns than he did in all but 3 of his entire seasons..

Probably because a lot of his points come from FTs. Indeed it feels like the best out of KD scoring-wise is yet to come. 24 USG% is impressive though. Other stars should take notice.

We need those free-throws KD brings. We needed them two years ago.

I feel KD didn't really get out of 2nd gear in that series yet he still put up 28/7/7 on 50/40/90. His presence also opened up the floor so much for Booker and the others.

KD definitely is capable of more than this, and I think we will see that in the tougher matchups and nights where Book is off. This one was a feeling out series, get the others going and avoid injury against the reckless Clippers and Russ who was headhunting him. Mission accomplished.

KD is not even trying half of the time in the Clippers series, he was just toying with them

What worried me a little bit was seeing how often he was unable to turn the corner on a defender when trying to get to the hoop. The Clips were bodying the hell out of him.

That’s why he went so many times to the FT line.

9 FTAs per game (95.6%).

I got the same feeling about him. He was playing very well and hard but probably not giving his ALL because he knows that the playoffs are a marathon.

Advancing to the next round was never in jeopardy for us so he played a good amount of minutes but not with superhigh intensity. He will be ready to go for the Nuggets.

He makes every move with a purpose and doesn't waste energy at all. The guy is the most efficient and smoothest player that I have ever seen.

I get that, but at the same time again I was concerned at what I saw in terms of KD's ability to turn the corner on his defender even when he wasn't fouled.

Return to Phoenix Suns
