Finally after so many years this team adds a legit shot blocker and him being a good passer is a bonus

Not sure how this ties up with Bud's 5-out spacing offense. My early feeling is that we are again constructing a roster not suited to our coach's strengths.
Also getting worried about shooting. Drafted 2 non-shooters. First FA acquisition is a non-shooter. Lost Eric Gordon who was giving you 5 3PAs a game.
Bud has consistently had teams in the top 5 in the 3PA. Not sure where those three are coming from unless the big 3 really buy into shooting more 3s.
Frankly, running it back with two rooks and two vet min signings isn't cutting it for me. I think the offense will look better with Bud, but if we're serious about running it back with the 'big 3', need to seriously explore trades for Nurk and Allen. The roster construction still doesn't make sense.
Agreed, I like the Plumlee signing but passing on Holmes or Kolek I think was foolish.
Drafting Dunn who can't shoot to save his life is a big mistake because he will only get spot minutes because defenses are going to dare him to shoot and since he can't hit free throws well they won't mind hacking him on his drives.
It would be less of a problem if he was a center but at 6'8 he's an undersized PF.

3 team trade
Wendel Carter Jr and McConnel to Suns
Nurkic to Orlando
Little and future 2nds to Pacers
Would love that for our team.
Why would the Pacers do that? And Orlando would want our "31 1st
Why are we paying to get off Nurk? You saw him play this year and rhe numbers he put up, yes?

Clippers just don't care what kind of players they get, as long as they are good basketball players I suppose.
A new low for that joke of franchise.

Everything in red is incorrect.
He won't be driving, he'll be cutting and getting-I imagine ally oops. He also will likely be playing SF for us as Kd's too old and slow to be trying to chase wings around. Lastly, he'll be starting for us by Xmas at the lastest and will absolutely get 20+ for us this season.

I definitely think that Matt Tellem has more than a few creative trades lined up around any of Nurkic, Allen, O'neale etc. That'll return a more versatile 5 and a quality backup guard. We just have to analyze which teams carry both those criteria players on there roster. Also, for additional shooting, there are SG options if D Lee doesn't resign too.
Seth Curry was waived but might resign with Charlotte if we don't look to show interest. I like Garrison Matthews from Atlanta as another small inclusionary floor spacing piece in a Nurkic for Capela trade if somehow possible? I heard that Saddiq Bey was waived too by Atlanta?
OKC actually declined the options for Isiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins. Mike Muscala is also a free agent too (somebody better let BWgood know that I've mentioned him again).....lol.

I was excited but OKC is not letting Joe and Wiggins go.
They're working on a long term deal this summer.

Let's revisit this in December.
If it were so easy to score by being a high leaper Nasir Little would be averaging 10ppg but it takes a lot more than being able to throw down a dunk by being a great athlete.
I really would not be surprised if his career arc ends up being similar to Nasir Little, same body size and both fantastic leapers but being extremely limited by being inconsistent shooters and both are kind of tweeners as they aren't big enough to play the traditional PF spot.

I definitely have to look over a few teams again to see some possibilities. OKC being one of them as I'm sure that they have too many players yet again. I like that Bol can shoot and space the floor from distance, but I'd look at a few names for backup floor spacing 4 options:
1- Mike Muscala.
2- Meyers Leonard. I know this one isn't popular, BUT the dude is still young 7 ft 260 and shot 38 % from 3 and 81% FT last season in limited time.
3- Dario Saric. Maybe consider him again for some bit of floor spacing?
**** Should we consider:
Taurean Prince or maybe even giving Crowder a call? (different owner, different coach, different situation)??

OMG, what a contract for Paul George.
We need to extend KD and give him another year. His contract looks cheap next to this one.I think we can do it in a couple weeks.

I didn't say we should do it, just stating what it would probably take. Also irrelevant because there's no way Indy trades McConnell for Little and 2nds lol

For now:
Beal / ? / ?
Book / Allen / ? (Damion Lee?)
O'Neale / Dunn / Little
KD / Bol / Roddy
Nurkic / Plumlee/ Oso
Two-Way: Jalen Bridges (SF).
Hopefully we can trade Roddy and get a better player than him. I would be OK with Okogie in his place.

A guy we should target for a 2-way spot is Lester Quinones. That guy can shoot and plays super hard on defense too. I think he could be a Divincenzo type in the right environment. Need some more bench talent. Carrying too many non-shooters on the bench presently - Okogie, Roddy, Little, Dunn, Plumlee, Ighodaro.
I'd actually let Okogie walk frankly. Just not possible to have so many non-shooters on the bench. How will they ever play together?
Maybe we have a deal lined up for Little.
