So... RayRay with the naynay.... So glad Dragic stays. He's the face and this will be his team.

Apparently 2+2 meant lebron in, goran out.... So glad we didn't use that math.

Like the heads up on the obvious FAs

Enticing Gasol will be tough when his options are OKC, SanAnt, and maybe Miami . Great fit for all. But, better fit for us tho. Hope Pao thinks so. What do we have to offer? First, as much money as anyone else, Second, the best training staff in the league, Third... He will be a starting PF and not C. Twin towers ... Oh yeah

Deng fits too. All you naysayers need to acknowledge his solid solid play. He was expected to carry part of the minuscule scoring load in Chi... Not so here... We have fire power galore. 12 and 8 is all we need... That and his D
He is a proven, not a potential.

Get them both and we have improved immensely and as much a contender as anyone in the west. We'd be a handful to most teams

Deng is 29. wtf? Why would you not want him for 3-4 years. And he's just as good as a defender as Tucker. Averages almost 2 steals per game.

Lots of mileage and injury concern (missed 19 or more games 5 out of his 10 seasons), weak 3-pt shooter, ties up cap space for big FA next 2 years.

Last time the Suns signed an "aging" (Deng's not even aging) star (ok he's not a star, but he's damn good and underrated), the Suns became the best team in the league. Now I don't expect that to happen if we sign Deng, but we do have an incredible training staff that you would hope limit or prevent injuries that have happened to Deng in the past.

Give me Deng. Give me Ryan Anderson please. Take chances with the injuries and trust our training staff.

I haven't heard us mentioned in talks for days now. Why would it be this quiet? I was starting to doubt before ray ray drove that final nail in the coffin.

I agree about Deng and GAsol - they would be better upgrades, health willing for the playoffs than Frye and Tucker

I also agree that if Pau wants a bit more cash (he can make in two years what it will take in four years for OKC or Spurs) - Phoenix is a good option. Granted if he is fine with the money and wants to win, OKC or SA make sense

As for Gambo - pretty quiet. Not much to say. Just they like Deng and GAsol. Gasol would be a good fit. Nothing really insighful

I say turn to Haywood or Monroe. We still maintain cap flexibility while adding a solid piece.

LeBron has trouble making decisions it appears. Everyone got doom and gloom a week ago after this post #1025 two FA threads ago.

viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1329915&start=1020

Then a new update came later with hope again.

Though I think most thought there was between a 70-95% chance he was going to the Heat all along anyway.

Exactly. Al Jefferson is another player that, like Deng, is a near-All Star-status and he is way underrated, but he makes his team better (we can ask Charlotte and Utah's fans about that).

Ok, Deng is not LeBron...but LeBron can not play for 30 teams at the same time in the league. :D
Warren, Ennis, Goodwin and Len are very very young, they will play few minutes, we need to have a competitive team and fight for the playoffs and go improving every year.
We need some help, and our payroll is perfect right now to adquire a good FA.

Yeah, I agree. It's become clear that to acquire good players, some GMs want more than cap space and draft picks. We might grab one of Deng/Gasol. It's just that I don't find that exciting at all.

Who the **** said? We were supposed to win 20 games last year and won 48. Everyone can take their expectations and prognostications and shove them up their ****.

Totally agree. Al Jefferson was a very good player in Charlotte

Luol Deng and Pau Gasol will be decent contracts - combined probably 25m. Maybe two years for PG and 3 years go LD. The Suns would be a better team with those on the roster. Suns need to make the play-offs this year and I think adding Gasol and Deng help the team more than letting the younger players just improve "organically."
