IT has the keys to Boston's entire offense, he's basically running it without guys like Bledsoe, Gay, Dragic or Cousins getting in the way.

Around The NBA: 2014/2015

Post#622 » by Jdiddy701 » Mon Mar 2, 2015 12:16 am

We really needed IT off the bench yesterday but it was the right move for the team.. I hope he kills it in Boston. I loved his game.

Funny see people respect his game now.

So IT doesn't switch his game or approach but he switches teams and u all like him :banghead:

He is playing the same as on the suns and we needed him to run the second and just score!

Miss the guy! Now we settled for Bledsoe (he will leave or demand trade because he's a baby Lebron)

Yep exactly the same , 6 of his first 8 shots in, and then, 8 shots in a row missed.

I think thomas' 6-8 would've helped us but his next 2/13 shots going in would have done us no help.

Thomas 42% fg
Bledsoe 45.5% fg
Dragic 50% fg

I do not care what Isaiah Thomas does with the Celtics. He could score 100 points and I would not care. His entire game is shoot, shoot, shoot. Who wants that from their point guard? Not me. So what he scored 20 points tonight against the Warriors today. He took 21 shots to get it. He shot 3-11 from 3pts. That is awful. Plus the Celtics blew a 26 point lead at home. Pretty bad. But like I said, I do not care what Thomas does. If fans want to sit and pick apart every quarter that Thomas or Dragic plays now, go ahead. They are no longer on the Suns and not in the Western Conference and people should let it go.

LOL Igoudala scores an easy bucket on IT which essentially clinched the game for the Warriors. That was Igoudala's 4th point of the night too so not like it was tearing it up.

Then IT bricks the open 3 which would have tied the game at the end.

The concerns I had with IT still remain true...he shoots too much and he's a god awful defender, not because of his heart or desire, but because of his tiny ass size.

Lebron took a dump in crunch time and removed himself from the MVP race. It's now Curry vs Harden and I wouldn't have a problem with either guy winning it.

The problem was that he wasn't happy being a bench player...he wanted to start...his ego got big....he even complained to the media about wanting to start....that's why the traded him...both GM McD and the owner Sarver have reiterated this....what more do you want?

IT was fine where he was

No he wasn't, he wanted to start.

If wanting to start was his crime, Isaiah Thomas pleads guilty.

After trading Thomas to Boston on Thursday for a first-round draft pick and Marcus Thornton, Suns General Manager Ryan McDonough said "the impetus behind the move was that he wanted to start. He views himself as a starter."

"I had no complaints, other than I wanted to play more," said Thomas, who averaged 25.7 minutes after getting 34.7 minutes per game last season for Sacramento.

http://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/n ... /23939489/

But the players never bought into it, which made failure a self-fulfilling prophecy. As we know, Thomas never liked his reserve role from day one, which put everyone on edge all season long.

Now Thomas is in Boston, thanks to close ties with Danny Ainge who is also in the asset-collection business. He is excited to go to a team he had lead from day one.

"If you've got a basketball and a hoop, I'll fit in," he said of joining the team. "I'm just happy to be somewhere they can appreciate me and hopefully I can make the city fall in love with me."

That sounds familiar to last summer's intro press conference where Thomas said he just wanted to be wanted. But what he really meant was that he just wanted to be wanted... as long as he can start, and get all the minutes he wants, as well.

From day one of training camp and all the way through the season, Thomas made it known he wanted to start. Wanted more minutes. Wanted to finish games.

Finally, the Suns had enough. Lost in the DragonGate shuffle was the move of Thomas to another team - something that had been brewing for a long while.

"I think this year," GM Ryan McDonough said to Bright Side's Bryan Gibberman last Friday. "Certain players are more concerned about their contractual status or what was best for them, rather than what was best for the team. To be honest with you, that led to a lot of the moves we made yesterday."

He wasn't just talking about Goran Dragic, you know. He was also talking about Isaiah Thomas as well. When two of your three point guards are frustrated with touches and playing time all season, it makes for a real grind.

"We tried to clear out the guys who were more concerned with what they did individually," he continued. "Or we felt were more concerned with what they did individually than with team success. I feel like we accomplished this."

Now Thomas has a team to run. And Dragic has a team to run. And Bledsoe has a team to run.

Westbrook posted 31.2 points (45.7 FG%, 91.3 FT%), 10.3 assists, 9.1 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 35.1 minutes a night in February.

Including back-to-back-to-back triple-doubles and a 9-3 team record. Oh my...

Isaiah Thomas - Player of the week last year in the East. I seriously think he could be an Allstar in that damn conference next year. He's that talented and the East is that bad, but good for him. I loved him.

Again, Suns made the right decision letting IT go.. Suns will be better without him but he's going to kill it in the East.

IT has complete reigns of the offense, its like he's back in Sacramento but without having to defer to Cousins.

I still laugh when I think of that poster here argued vehemently that he would rather have Bledsoe than Westbrook
