I'm out guys, I don't come here nearly enough to justify this. That and Ja is going to be out for awhile, could never get my team fully healthy and dont want to wait another year to compete. So here ya go... really saddens me to let this go, some nice talent on the team...

Ja Morant, Jalen Brown, AD, Lavine, Siakam...

Feel free to do what you want with it. Might make for a fun expansion draft for something who knows.

We should make all of Stix’s players free agents and put them in a draft, going reverse order to our normal draft of course.

Hopefully can find someone to take over your team. If not, then I suppose this could be the deepest draft we've had. This could lead to more parity and have some depth in free agency.

I think if worse comes to worse we can just find another person by putting up a request via the Yahoo Fantasy section. I'm in 4 fantasy football leagues and 3 of them I found just by looking on Yahoo for leagues looking for members. I'm sure the 16th player can be found there if we can't find someone here.

You would have Ja Morant, Jalen Brown, AD, Lavine, and Siakam among others along with the 8th pick in our upcoming draft. Decent roster to start with.

If you're looking to rebuild, I'm sure a number of posters here would be interested in giving up draft assets and younger players. I know I have the 3rd pick and am looking to move it lol.

Yeah trades are handled through DMs and announced in here once official. Usually most go down during our draft, but I have a feeling there will be more movement this summer. Once the smoke clears on free agency and the NBA draft I plan on making moves personally, though I can't speak for everyone.

It's a good team to start with. You would have a lot of guys in their primes under 30 but the team only finished 12th/16 so there's certainly a choice to be made on the direction.

We play 8 cat roto.

The way the offseason works is that you can basically trade anyone on your roster that you had at the end of the season, up until draft day (usually this is in October). It's a combined FA and rookie draft. We select 7 or 8 keepers (if you keep 8 you lose your 1st round pick). Once draft starts the non keepers go to the FA pool. The draft is 4 or 5 rounds long (depending on if you kept an 8th).

Offseason trades dont happen often through summer and usually pick up pre draft as managers try to offload players they wont be able to keep. Forum activity obviously is down during summer but there isn't any real restriction so long as you can get in contact with a manager and negotiate.

If you dont know who to dm for a trade you can cross match the team names with the owner names in the league spread sheet (on page 1).

I do ask that managers at least this year refrain from trading next years picks for a few months as we may be moving to a separate rookie draft and FA draft system in 2024 (this years 2023 picks are fair game though). If I cannot come up with a system that works by like July or August I'll be scrapping it. The convenience has been pretty good for the current system.

Thanks for all the info! Unfortunately I'm not able to see any of the rosters or league info on yahoo. That makes creating trade offers etc really hard. Any plans to create a roster overview somewhere else?

Look at the google sheet on page 1 of this thread. It has all sorts of info. Rosters, standings each year, past season info, most of our recent drafts, maybe some rules. I think team names are tied to posters on there.

I would like to say tanking is pretty tough with a 16 person league. So I’d probably keep most of your keepers.

The league spreadsheet is pretty bad tbh. The keepers and draft picks are vastly different because they're only recorded at the start of the year.

I just went through and cleaned out a bunch of outdated junk and deleted some of the useless spread sheets. Eventually I'll clean out the main results page (there's a lot of useless stats on there that just clutter it) and we'll have a page called the hall of fame for winning teams and a trophy room page.

Check your dms. I can add you to the league officially and you should be able to see everything on the yahoo page.

With yahoo's decline in recent years, would you consider moving to fantrax in 2026 offseason?
