VERY little chance we add three rookies next year. The only pick I see being used is the Laker pick. So I'd be more than happy to deal the other two.
I think people fall in love with the idea of draft picks. Alex Len was the 5th pick of the 2013 draft but I read if he was in the 2014 draft - would have been in the 10-15 range. Meaning picks aren't equal
Gambo and Burns were debating that if the Suns won the draft lotto - whether to take Wiggins or if Twolves amenable, use it for Love. Granted, it makes for better radio if they disagree.
But other then the dollars given for the next 5-6 years - in what planet is a KNOWN like Love not better than a total unknown like Wiggins. I don't think Wiggins had the talent of Durant coming out. And Love at 25 still has many years where as if he were 30 -then you might want the draft pick
NBA to me - draft picks are overrated. Players are younger, need more seasoning. Sure - some rookies come in and play well but look at Kieff - he needed a few years to figure it out
So, draft picks are good trade assets. I think its important to not trade them all away - always good to have one rookie year deal on a cost certain four year contract on your roster - or maybe you trade one away every few years. But don't need three or two per year either
