There are a lot of really good players left. I wonder if we move up to grab another guy.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Don't doubt Gambo ... I know he has been wrong in the past but he his money this year !!!! I know Reeds agent !! Suns absolutely love him ... I will dramatically surprised if the Suns don't take him somewhere in the second via 32 or trade !!!!!

I told you guys ..... My friend said he killed it in his workout and that's why the Suns went with him over other guys mentioned

If they liked him so much, they could've still waited and taken him at #54.

You never know. I don't care what the mocks say. I did want a backup for Booker the most and I kind of like the idea of an experienced guy. Getting Bell or Ojeyele just puts another guy in the frontcourt. I want to see Jackson, Bender, Chriss, etc....we needed backcourt help and an experienced rookie might be good instead of some young raw naive 18 year old. I'm all for drafting those guys early, but in the second round draft the guy you like and you feel fits your team best, and we don't have all that information, so I don't think judging 2nd round picks is easy to do..

It would be awesome if we could get 40ish pick for Knight.

except he may not have been their. Teams big boards are not the same as draft express

Maybe ..... There were only about 3 teams that showed interest in him durning his workouts but honesty the Suns thought very highly of him and didn't want to take the risk of him not being there ..... That's directly from his agent !!!

I like the Reed pick. Should be a really good back up for Booker. You can never have enough 3-and-D, and he's very proven in that.

It's a "lifestyle" company owned by Thomas Robinson and the Morris twins. They probably just push it on all the Kansas kids.

Yeah I hope it works out but McD in general doesn't have a good track record in drafting outside the lottery besides Ulis. The rest of his picks are no longer in the NBA or their barely holding on to roster spots. Passing up on players projected to go much higher (kinda like Spurs drafting Murray last year) in favor of a guy that may have been available much later doesn't make sense to me. Eh it fills a need like you said, but I hope it turns out to be worth it passing on the kind of talent that they did.

Yes, it would be. Knight makes 14 million a year and these guys make as much as the teams want to pay, usually less than 1 million. Cap space is huge. Knight takes up a ton of it. He provides little on court value. We will have to attach an asset with him to trade him.

If we don't want to attach an asset to trade him, that would mean we HAVE to play him, but not sparingly...a lot, and he would have to do well for a long stretch to gain trade value, but chances are he would suck. There is almost a zero win situation with him. That's why I don't mind giving up an asset.even our next pick, to deal him. The cap space is far more valuable than him on the team.

I agree with that he has not had much success, but it is a crapshoot and I personally don't think he would have taken Ennis if Toronto wasn't behind us but others might thing he wanted him in mind.

But all of his second round picks have been freshmen. Or at least those I am thinking of.

But I feel more comfortable with him taking a more mature proven guy. He was only ranked low because he was a senior.

Can't believe Philly got Jawun Evans though..I really wanted him.

Wow, Philly with Juwan Evans, Fultz, Simmons, Covington, Embiid...Saric, McConnell.....that team is getting pretty exciting.

I think the Suns missed the boat on Reed but the Warriors didn't with Bell. Bell would have been another motor to go with Josh Jackson and Sauce off the bench. Love those kind of guys

If Iggy leaves - probably not the Twolves now with Butler - but if Iggy leaves, Bell is another guy

Gambo said two great workouts but damn - I think the Suns missed with Bell. He was RIGHT there.

Ojeleye to Boston too.

Boston and Golden State have two of the better front office's in the NBA so no surprise they got ridiculous steals while other teams whiffed.
