Nurk sucks, Nurk is the reason we didn't go far in the playoffs! Quit crying and admit when you are wrong.

It's all the crying that makes me say it. The whole team sucked in the playoffs TO A MAN!!! Nurk had a decent season and if your basketball knowledge can't evaluate that, then I question it!! Yes I would rather trade him and go a diffrent direction because of fit, but he was good for us this season, idiots be damned!!

I know I mocked Presti - thinking - how can he keep all those picks. Well he has a frigging clue. He has built a team that will be very good for the next 5 years.

Not sure anybody in the West are better than the Thunder, on paper.

Ishbia would’ve fired Presti for valuing picks and younger players if he was OKC owner.

I’m hoping the market isn’t there for Tyus this year & he decides to take the vet min. Wishful thinking but a lot of teams who needed point guards have used up their cap space.

Ishbia needs to look at OKC and be realistic about the teams in the West and where his team is
If Presti were GM of the Suns he would sell high on Durant today

Now maybe I should give Budenholzer a chance -- and they aren't trading Durant
But the trade deadline will be interesting

If Beal's back gives up in 2nd pre-season game it will indeed.

Between Tobias and Hartenstein, it takes one dumb gm to overpay for a position of need. I was like there wasn’t hope with Val’s contract but now I feel like some team will take Nurkic. Maybe not now but before training camp.

Ishbia isn’t gonna do that because he’s just not a very smart individual. If you look deep into how he became rich, it was lot more to do with luck than actually being smart.

The Suns were VERY LUCKY last season health wise and had KD/Booker play the most amount of games they’ve played in years and even Beal had one of his healthier years in recent years. Yet with all that, the team managed to get swept and back shot’d in the first round by Anthony Edwards.

Oklahoma City is going to be a tough out next spring.

I don’t like it. Personally I think that Thibs had to do a lot about Hartenstein looking a very good defensive C.

He is solid and I like him but $87M/3 year is ridiculous for a player with so many limitations and we aren't talking about a physical freak with crazy length like Gobert or Turner.

You can rebuild any time.

In 3 years we'll have most of our picks and can play the game of chance, but risk 10 years of misery to do so.

OKC has a lot of cap space and they sort of need to win now & center was their real weak point in the post season.

It's a short term deal so it's not like they're stuck with him forever and they can trade him as an expiring after 2 season if it doesn't work out. I kind of had hopes OKC would have some interest in Nurkic but that ship has sailed now lol

What they have done so far? I am gonna wait to give Presti his flowers when they arrive to the NBA Finals or anything close to that.

You never know in this league. What I know about them as a fact is that they have been too many years out of the playoffs and rebuilding and last year they were eliminated in the 2nd round...not too much to talk about it.

They look good and they can have a good future...but it's all theory for now.

And I have to say it... Hartenstein for $29M per year is a joke.

So it isn’t just me. I think they overachieved last year with so many teams underachieving.

A three year contract is not a "short term deal".

We just have to analyze which teams carry both those criteria players on there roster. Also, for additional shooting, there are SG options if D Lee doesn't resign too.

Seth Curry was waived but might resign with Charlotte if we don't look to show interest. I like Garrison Matthews from Atlanta as another small inclusionary floor spacing piece in a Nurkic for Capela trade if somehow possible? I heard that Saddiq Bey was waived too by Atlanta?

OKC actually declined the options for Isiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins. Mike Muscala is also a free agent too (somebody better let BWgood know that I've mentioned him again).....lol. :D

Capela is on $20.6m, Nurk is on $18.1m.

Yeah I know. That's why I say I hope that Matt Tellem who is a supposed very creative 3 team trade cap genius would be able to engineer something because the straight up dollar for dollar 2nd apron restrictions prevents us from taking h the anything over Nurkics' 18.1 contract.

Really in a straight up trade, we can we can take back players up to ( but not a dollar more than) that 18.1 million. BUT I'm mostly postulation over possible loopholes Tellem might be able to use in a 3 team trade to somehow send out Nurkics' salary and another filler to get to or above that 20 million or another in that range and return maybe a slightly more expensive option such as either Brook Lopez ( 25) million or Capelas' 22 million) roughly. And maybe an inexpensive filler backup guard option or a cheap shooting guard option like Matthews (example from Atlanta) ?

Now dremille who is very knowledgeable has shared that it just doesn't work this way for the new CBA. But without seeing the exact wording and knowing the full mechanisms possibly available to us, it's again a matter of theoretical postulation at best for now.

Full disclaimer: I do really like Nurkic for the regular season as he's been super solid. And maybe our best move would be to just keep him and find that alternative athletic rim running, shotblocking, very switchable option for the playoffs. I really like the Plumlee signing too. But Plumlee isn't what he once was anymore and is currently fairly redundant to Nurkic although slightly more athletic of course.

** This is why I was pushing hard for the Utah Kessler/ Potter trade. Even if it meant giving up our 2031 1st (with protections of course). :D
