Yeah, it would be dumb to offer any more than 10. I don't think he will get an offer for much more than that anyway.

Absolutely! Well it wouldn't hurt his rebounding and defense obviously, but nonetheless losing Frye's spacing would hurt everyone's offensive game.

I believe I told you guys that Frye was going to command a lot of money. My prediction is, he lands in Golden State.

He is not going to get a lot of money from GSW or Portland. They have only MLEs to offer and he would definitely be a reserve on both of those teams. He may not get more from the Suns, but he would have the opportunity to start.

JD - you are good with the cap (or anybody that knows this answer). The Warriors have a TPE - could they execute a sign and trade with the Suns - IF they wanted to go higher than the MLE? Meaning the Suns would get back the TPE and a first round pick? I know you cannot combine players. But if GSW wanted to go higher than the MLE - package the TPE and draft pick for Frye - if the Suns were inclined

Listening to ktar and they are saying, it's looking more and more like frye is gone. They saw a tweet that said Adrian woj is saying Steve kerr just hired luke Walton who is really good friends with frye. And there are more reports that he is bolting.

That's crazy money. I can't see us going over $4-5m max for Tucker.

Maybe, but there really hasn't been any word out of the Lakers camp (I don't think) that they are interested. The article in the LA Times today didn't mention him. It did mention Lowry. If they can't get Lowry they may go after Bledsoe but I don't think for the max. I think they still would like to make sure they have cap space in 2015 for Love and 2016 for Durant.

Orlando just waived Jameer Nelson , but they may just want to go with Elfrid Payton right off the bat. But they are pretty thin at guard other than him and Oladipo, and if they want a vet, they could offer him a lot, but this has been discussed a bit and it might be more unlikely that they blow that much money on him if they want Payton to start sooner than 4 years from now.

When you go through all the teams with cap space and pg needs there are only a few. Milwaukee and Dallas are two, but I don't think Milwaukee can go above 10 or so (maybe not even that much...and maybe much less because when I looked at their cap # before I might not have included the #2 pick) and Dallas probably wouldn't want to either.

I think the addition of Love would make you guys instant contenders. What do you think it would take to get him. Alex Len, one of the Morris and a future first? might need a 3rd team I'm guessing you guys lack the big salary to match with him

Unfortunately if the Suns wanted to get Love via trade I think we'd have to trade Alex Len and I am not a fan of that. I'm hoping, if a trade were to happen, it would be Gerald Green/Morris twins, Lakers 2015 1st and Suns 2015 1st. I'd rather lose those guys then Len, because you can't teach his size. I think Green is gone after this season anyway, so the Suns might as well trade him if we get good assets in return.

What makes you think Green is gone after this season? He has consistently expressed his desire to stay in PHX and loves his coach and teammates.

I think Green has a pretty solid chance to be back next year unless
1) he is traded for Kevin Love: slim chance at this point based on media repots
2) the Suns need the cap space this year for LeBron and ChrisMelo BoshAnthony - 1% chance per Windhorst

Suns have three potential free agents this time next year: Morris twins and Green. So, possibly not all are back - next 10 days will be a big part of that.

Wouldn't be surprised. For a team like GSW - to have the dimension Frye brings - would add to their offense. Surprised OKC is not in the running but maybe they are being quiet about it.

As for the Suns - I think the first call tonight is to LeBrons agent - the second call should be to Luol Deng.

I guess that is a bit high, but it also depends on the market and if they can get other players. Maybe more like $6.5. And I know there is only about a 2% chance of it happening, but if they do get LeBron and Melo, they will need depth and they would be able to match his contract after signing those guys to get it.

I still say we won't over-reach to keep Tucker. A Tony Allen level deal ($20m/4yrs) would be fair value for Tucker imo.

- "No, bu-"

At least that's how I read into it.

LeBron doesn't want max years. As a matter of fact, he wants a contract in which he has the flexibility to opt out after the 1st or 2nd season.

Ok well the general point remains, I truly believe he is seeking a max contract, period. I'd be shocked if he actually took less.

Strongly doubt that. We've made our intentions clear already that we are willing to match most offers so there is no point in making him an offer. Best case scenario, there is a smaller market for Bledsoe than we thought and we match a $9m offer. Worst case scenario, we make an offer right away and we misread his market value and end up lowballing him and he feels disrespected. When you make the first offer, most times than not you're bidding against yourself.

Did anybody listen to Brian Windhorst on KTAR today? http://arizonasports.com/41/1746502/ESP ... oenix-Suns

This guy really insulted the Suns. He said the Suns do not have a talented roster and he could not believe that the team was winning so many games and he kept on waiting for them drop off. He called the Suns a smoke and mirrors team. I had never really heard this guy talk but I have absolutely no respect for him after this. Does he not even realize that Bledsoe missed 39 games? Or that Dragic was injured during the most important games of the season. Who is he kidding. No talent? Dragic and Bledsoe are a top three backcourt in the league. Dragic won most improved player and was third team all-nba. Morris and Green were both up for sixth man of the year. The Suns might not have the big superstar, but they have way more talent than guy is talking about. Then he says how the Suns are going to be forced to pay Bledsoe now and Frye might leave. Duh. This guy obviously did not actually watch the Suns. A smoke and mirrors team does not win 48 games with their second best player injured for half the season.

And no I am not being a homer about this. He also said that if Lebron and Carmelo want to team up then they will go to Los Angeles. Why? Just so they can be in Hollywood? Sure, they want to go play with a 36 year old Kobe Bryant who is coming back from a torn achilles and broken kneecap and a 40 year old Steve Nash who can barely play basketball. Give me a break. The Suns might not get Lebron, but this reporter sounds like a buffoon.

I just hope LeBron and Melo make decisions fairly quickly. Because the rest of the dominos won't start falling until that happens. Howard took until the 6th last year so barely anything else happened at all before then.

Gotcha. Wonder what the cut number (yearly salary) is for the suns??
