not sure I see the comparison. Skita couldn't defend like Bender, couldn't pass like Bender...heck, he really couldn't do anything

so he's exactly like Bender

Nice pass Joe Jackson. Almost great pass by DS Jr if the guy was ready for it.

This Suns team looks good in the half court whenever they actually run sets. But too often they break them early to go 1v1 or drive into traffic or throw passes stupidly.

So many possessions wasted by being dumb.

Dragan with the smart foul. Fat ass Chriss ain't gonna stop that drive. He gonna lose the ball in the post on the baseline on the next possession.

Re James - I think he's played a good game by hitting tough shots. He doesn't seem to create much separation on offense. His energy level isn't high enough to make up for his lack of size, I think. I don't expect to see much of Mike James this regular season.

Good rim run and seal by Bender on a small. Shot went in but still went up too soft

good case of two people watching the same thing but seeing different things

the reason I'm excited about Dragan is because he projects as a pretty good defender to me; I value his defensive agility(and switchability) a lot. He did an okay job defending the perimeter on Friday, and he fared really well in the post too. He can't stay in front of DSJ today, but then again, few in this league can.

Even if his offensive game never progresses(which would be a real shame, but I think it's highly unlikely considering he's still a teenager), Bender looks like a guy who slide into any rotation and make a positive contribution

Quese doesn't try to defend DSJ at the rim. Put down the cheeseburger, Quese.

Suns were better offensively and defensively this past year when he was on the court per Sam Vecenie. He's still super raw but is a high iq player. You can see even in this game he has the best +/-, and a huge gap between him and a couple of guys. He's just more of a glue guy but those who like the flashiness are likely prone not to see it.

Dragan walks up the court and hits a three. Perfect. Overall, a much, much better performance for him tonight.

What are you doing Dragan.

Stop chucking 3's, find the guy open under the rim

This is not how you play basketball. developing bad habits

The worst is his turnovers. 8 in the first game, 7 so far today.

Yeah, he needs to cut down on shooting 3s. Though the coaches may have told him to keep shooting them, as they did all year, but either way, they need to focus more on his skill sets and strengths you have mentioned. He did end up finding that guy under the rim though with that 3.

That was the scouting report on him before he entered the league, but I don't see it at all. He has terrible shot selection and tries to make stupid passes all the time.

Overall he played fairly well for his second summer league game. I don't know if the defense played on DSJ is a postive though. The guy went for 25 on 8-14 shooting and 3-5 three. Insane stat line for him with 25, 8 boards, 4 assists and 4 steal.

He didn't shoot well, but that goes for all the guys playing here that we drafted the last two years.
