Glad this team went to a worthy contender! If you have any questions as to any of my strategy just DM me. I have some insights as to the strengths and weaknesses of the team you inherited :D

It's amazing only 6 of the original 16 owners still own their teams.

These players:

Miles Bridges
Tyus Jones (although I might wait until we have more details on the Ja Morant suspension)
Jalen Smith
Kenyon Martin jr
Tim Hardaway jr.

are all available for picks and/or rookies/sophomores. Building long term.

Trey Lyles
Royce O'Neale

Can be had for an expired bag of Lays chips.

Damn, it's hard to get something done in this league. Counter offers are also welcome. Or a reply/feedback on the offer.

Everybody available, including #3 pick, Mark Williams, Tari Eason, Zach Lavine, AD, Jaylen Brown, Siakam.

Dude, the NBA finals are still going on and there's still the entire offseason to go. It's probably the worst time to try to evaluate a player's value without knowing for sure where they'll even be playing. Chill
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Yeah most of the discussion that happens is theoretical right now. So many questions up in the air. I think I myself have massive question marks on players like Harden, Sengun, Porter, Simons...Who knows what happens to those guys. Then there is even talk about what if Dame goes to Miami, so that affects Butler's situation. All in all that's 5 serious question marks on my roster who could have really different outlook.

I'd agree with all of this. The only reason I did my trade is cause I wanted Ja and I wanted to get him before the hammer came down. My drafting strategy will be based off what we find out in the next few days.

Plus, I get the feeling that there's gonna be a lot of trades in the real NBA this summer. That'll change ppl opinions on their current players and who they wanna keep.

Sure, if you want to make deals, go on and make them, but now is not prime trade season. Things definitely heat up closer to the start of next season and our draft.

Super useful content from Josh Lloyd for the 23-24 season

Player reviews from each team. Includes advanced stats and future speculation which is key to dynasty (LOVE THIS PLAYLIST):
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1U5boGn_ErTjmAx1p8F8-_eeFBvqObwW

I've said this before but I think Josh Lloyd is arguably the best fantasy guy out there right now. He has a consistent logic that he applies to evaluating fantasy scenarios and players and is someone that I've learned a ridiculous amount from. If there was only one source I could use to prepare for fantasy scouting it would be Josh Lloyd. Learning and applying things from him has been a big part of why I've been able to put together a nice team.

Quite frankly I'll let the cat out of the bag here: if you can learn to apply the type of thought process/evaluation he uses, you will see a LOT of success in leagues where other managers aren't doing what you're doing.

This is probably the most active league I have been in with regard to trades. It's just the worst possible time to try. The Suns get knocked out so many probably don't even look at the boards much until July 1st when FA starts. But still, it's usually really dead until we start drafting in October.

How many trades can your leagues have going on daily and weekly in the middle of the offseason? We have a lot of blockbuster and smaller trades around our league draft time and into and during the season. Most teams have just already firmly decided one way or another.

In season I think my main league had 50 trades (20 team dynasty) and a very active off season, with the low point in activity between summer league and pre season. So August and september tend to be more quiet with only a few moves here and there, I think.

JoeKleinefor3 (Perkinsfor3) trades Anthony Davis, Siakam and his 2023 3rd round pick

BigFoot trades: Lamelo, Zubac and 2023 #6 overall

Bigfoot going all in on his aging core I see. The overall value is fair and that's a hefty return for LaMelo whom I have maybe top geez maybe 5? As an overall dynasty asset (like Jokic, SGA, Wembanyama, Doncic?, LaMelo?, Tatum?).

My one question mark is how much difference the #3rd pick is worth from the 6th pick. I feel like there's not THAT big a difference (once Scoot is gone at #2, that 3rd tier of draftees is pretty big), but maybe things will become more clear on draft night.

I wanted to slap bigfoot for trading LaMelo initially but his core is older and being able to commit to competing whilst having the 3rd pick to start the future (or trade again) is a nice spot to be in.
