Hanging the stats is one thing but nobody got all wet n' wild over MCW's at the pg position or the David Lees. Kief will get points and some boards but are they meaningful in the context of getting killed by every team with a significant front court? I think not. Blazers, Houston, Memphis, OKC will crush us in the playoffs for the Suns getting beat on the boards and dominated. That's the purpose of a front line. We can't be distracted by the fact that Kieff can hang numbers. He's a terrific scorer and has shown he can get some buckets in a number of ways but it he has demonstrated notable lack of bounds against those teams. We're screwed if we don't retain EB and stand pat in our front court. I see us as a 6th seed with a healthy EB. And yes, Kieff will get 15 and 8. But alongside a Plumdog and Len...it's wasted. I'm curious to know the blueprint for us becoming a contender whether we pay to keep Goran and Kieff and then where that leaves us in terms of adding talent to the front court. Does McD really see Len becoming a difference maker?

What I would give to add Ibaka to our current roster!! Gimme a lineup of Bledsoe, Dragic, Tucker, Kieff, and Ibaka and I'd be a happy fan.

Markieff is a damn good player. He's not someone who would sink the team to lose though. The only person who means that much to this team is Goran. That said, it's inexcusable for us to lose the Morri given our cap space and the advantage we have of having brought them together. Only way that would be okay with me is if we're using the space saved to sign a truly premier PF like Aldridge.

SideSwipe wrote:The Rich Paul article timing is all PR against what people are saying about him in the news. It is a PR tactic meant to humanize him in peoples eyes. Point taken from the article, but that doesn't change the fact that he has blown Bledsoe's opportunity for getting a contract he wanted from a team he wanted because he doesn't know how to engage and negotiate with a team.

Right now, I'm not buying what Rich Paul is selling. This isn't a Warren Moon throwback (although I strongly respect the entrepreneur in him for him building that business), this is the NBA. The NBA is full of serious business people that are used to treating each other with mutual respect, and Pauls record on that is not looking too good. He is going in the opposite direction of classy.

I thought it was a good article. Sure he has been VERY lucky, and really doesn't sound like he has the experience to be an agent, and his tactics with the Bledsoe thing are very unprofessional, but there are a lot of agents in various sports that hold out for better deals for a LONG time.

I was happy to see he has somewhat competent people handling the contract negotiations, even though the Suns supposedly haven't heard from them. This could be their recommendation as well.

I do think teams will begin to shy away from wanting to work with him or sign him players if they have alternatives because it will grow old fast.

Markieff was 18.6/8.1 per 36 last year. His shooting %'s increased dramatically and his win shares per 48 were .143

Bledsoe was .140 per 48.

That means that Markieff was #2 on our team in WSp48 behind only Dragic at .186.

In summary, Markieff helped us win more games than anyone not named Dragic.

I find it ironic that the wiretap has Ennis and the Bruno guy stories right near each other.

Per Jude Lacava on the radio, the Suns are now discussing trade possibilities with Eric Bledsoe.

Just get him out of here already, I'm over him.

Is anybody listening to these "huge news" about Eric Bledsoe on 910 radio? Jude Lacava basically said the Suns are now taking S&T offers for Bledsoe.

Ummm.. Duh.

I listened to that too. I trust lacava. I grew up with him. He doesn't throw out bs.

Bye bye Bledsoe. It's about time. Tired of Bledsoe and his crew.

Now we can hopefully move on soon. Glad I don't have to see screen names like dragonblade anymore.

Monroe and his agent, David Falk, never sought an offer sheet from another team but pursued sign-and-trade proposals with at least five other teams, including Portland and Oklahoma City, according to person familiar with the discussions. Monroe denied receiving a reported five-year, $60 million offer – or anything close – from Pistons and would’ve been unlikely to accept either way. …

Probably Monroe and Bledsoe will force a S&T before playing for the QO.
If we get some good player I would trade him, but we need real value in return to make a trade.

I don't think it's a huge surprise. It's the natural next step when negotiations seems to have reached an impasse but I do believe that we still have to the door wide open for further negotiations if Bledsoe would just come to the table.

We're doing the right thing by covering our bases and not get left out in the cold by not doing our due diligence early.

Yes, I think that at this date we have to move on.
Probably Bledsoe has said that he can only sign for the max and that he will not negotiate anything below that. We wanted some reunion, and he refused. What we can do?? S&T.

@foxsports910: .@judefox10 on @FoxSports910: "The @Suns are now discussing trade possibilities with RFA G @EBled2." @paulcoro @WojYahooNBA

@foxsports910: .@judefox10 says you can "take it to the bank" in regards to his report on @FoxSports910 that the @suns are exploring an Eric Bledsoe trade.

We're under no pressure to do a S&T and I think if it came down to the last minute, Bledsoe will stay a pro and play for the QO and force his way out another way (or just play it out). We're not under no obligation to do a lop-sided trade just to give Bledsoe what he wants.

I find it hard for anyone to want Bledsoe back. There is nothing about Bledsoe that screams "team."

He isn't a suns first guy. He is a Bledsoe first and everyone else can F themselves guy.

The only positions that could really boost us would be PF and C and I don't know who is willing to trade right now. That's why I think we should raise the offer and tell him we will look to trade him during the season or as soon as we can find something worth trading for, if that's what he wants. 54M... I don't know how he could turn that down.
