He won’t admit his creation was a failure. KD with one year left on his contract entering year 18 and we’ll be lucky to get two first rd picks.

They tried to trade KD so they don't live in fantasy world anymore and know what mess Ishbia's impatience has created. The Warriors tried to save us, but KD said no. Big changes coming in the offseason.

It s sad but I think this is the only way, phoenix has to clean the payroll and get some draft picks back.

KD and booker still have value and should help with fast rebuild.

I would focus on them as a trade partner to get Jalen Smith back, maybe Lonzo Ball if either can be had for cheap. I really liked what Jalen Smith brought to the Suns back then and he can play the PF/C spot again. Monty didnt like him, but he fits the stretch 5 shot blocker that Bud needs.

Maybe a couple of second rounders and filler for Jalen Smith.
Lonzo Ball is trickier as I dont think he's near 100% and may not even pass physical.

We only have 1 2nd currently, and I wouldn't give that up for Smith, even though I like him as a player well enough. Ball was being offered for two 2nds recently, But I'd maybe offer our 27' CLE 1st And DEN 2ND IN A SWAP package for BOTH Ball/ Smith/ AND the 25' SAC 2nd (46th pick). That'd give them slightly higher value than two 2nds for Ball and a 2nd for Smith too. But we'd have to maintain having two picks in this upcoming draft (a first and a 2nd) otherwise I just wouldn't do the trade because honestly, there'll be better 4/5 options all throughout this coming draft in both the late first and 2nd rounds!

So maybe I'd just give the CLE 27' 1st for Ball and their SAC 2nd giving us three total picks in this draft at 29, 46, 54. And using our first for a quality defensive wing/forward, The 46th pick for an athletic 4/5 option, and the 54th pick on a backup center? For example:

29- JoJo Tugler.
6'8 230 lbs with a 7'6 wingspan, athletic, very physical, elite multipositional non-stop motor defensive wing/forward (6'8 Robert Williams).

46- Trevon Brazile
6'10 234 lb 4/5 with a 7'4 wingspan and 41 inch vertical. He's a young skinny version of Amare Stoudamire who can block shots, hit threes, and face up some.

54- Zvonimir Ivisic
7'3 235 lb 4/5 with a 7'5.25 wingspan. Zvonimir is extremely long, mobile, fluid, athletic, and moves/plays like a 7'3 wing. He can hit threes, block shots, drive to the rim, pass, faceup, etc. Think of a Porzingis clone but who plays like a huge wing/forward.

I don't know why he didn't try to offload either Monte or Tyus due to the logjam at PG?

He must really be deluded to think that this core can win as it is and we are just going to lose Tyus for nothing in the offseason unless Tyus is crazy enough to sign for the minimum again but why would he?

His weaknesses are even more exposed on this small roster and it is just a terrible fit when we are running a ton of guards out there.

Let's be clear - no one could've done anything meaningful with this trainwreck of a roster. Many people pointed it out when we hired Bud. But, having said that, although Bud was never the best of the best, he is a solid coach. Trouble is, he really looks apathetic, disengaged and disinterested most of the time. It's perfectly reasonable after the tragedy. On top of that, if we finally take a new direction and start a full rebuild, he's a very poor choice going forward. I have no doubt he's a better coach overall than Vogel but our interests do not align right now. I will say yet again - bring Lloyd here and give the man some time with a new, young core.

Just like the Mavs, if you have a bad owner, there's nothing you can do to overcome that. Unfortunately, that's where the Suns are.

Not at all surprising considering what J Kidd truly knows about the Doncic/ Lakers trade behind the scenes and how it's affecting the team and franchise as a whole.

Of course anyone would choose to separate themselves from this if possible.

Having Minnesota as one of my KD trade destinations, as clearly Edwards adores KD and has near Lebron level influence over decisions there, I could see Minnesota giving us most anything we'd demand that they still actually have to give.

The problem though becomes their 2nd apron conditions like us, and having to match salaries dollar for dollar and also key players that have player options this coming summer in both Naz Reid and Julius Randle making a trade near impossible unless we wait and do this trade at next season's trade deadline.

Then theoretically, if we get below the 2nd apron far enough, we could do a package of Randle / Naz Reid/ Dillingham/ picks ( maybe their 32' 1st and a 2nd)?? Or something.

Or maybe McDaniels/ Reid/ DiVencenzo/ Shannon Jr/ Minott? Or Randle/ McDaniels? ( if we include a small 2-3 million salary by sggregagation if somehow far enough below the 2nd apron. But still, the simplest trade would be at the deadline for Randle/ Reid/ Dillingham and some package of picks.

I don't understand the post where he says he would only trade Durant if he asks out.

Is the goal to win a title or not? I get there is some allegiance to players -but the goal is to win . This team is not winning. So why wouldn't you do what you can do to win

I see it with Chargers fans. They didn't want to move on from Keenan Allen and now Bosa and Mack. The goal is to win.

Period. You do what you have to do. And it also means trading Booker

Much as it'd hurt losing KD, I can't endure another season like this. I'd rather go into the season with hopeful-playoff aspirations than having a team built for a title run when it has 0 chance.
Houston has to be a team to target as a KD suitor.

Okay! Upon reflection of this recent information, I'm not nearly as upset with Dunn only having 5 minutes in this game for precautionary measures:
