He is a good player on a good contract, and he's won us games - but if we're choosing 3 out of 4 guys from the aforementioned players, I'm taking Dragic/Bled/Green - cos that killed it last year, there's familiarity and chemistry and we didn't even have Bledsoe for 2/3 the season.

There's a market for Thomas, why not a basic swap like Thomas and Plumlee for Hawes + filler (Hedo, Wilcox)? We sweeten it with either a 2nd or a HEAVILY protected 1st, as Wilcox was their pick last year.

Solidifies the guard rotation, Clips get a reliable bench play-maker to pair with Crawford and we tighten our rotation while adding the ideal big next to Wright off the bench. Hawes at $5m really isn't that bad - he's proven he can be a starter while bringing 3pt range, passing and shot-blocking at the 5.

We look MUCH stronger, especially with Green back in as the sole 22-24mins heat-check guy, along with more minutes at PG for Goran.

I'd then sign Jordan Farmar as the 3rd PG, if they don't think Ennis is ready.

This is a DEEP team with more vets and better resembles last year's squad (stretch 4) but adds Farmar over Ish, an obvious upgrade.

Len
Markieff
Tucker
Dragic
Bledsoe
----
Wright
Hawes
Mook
Green
Farmar
Warren
Goodwin
Bullock

That's a bad trade. I get addition by subtraction, but I still think we can swing a better deal than that for IT.

How about some constructive criticism - WHY do you think it's bad?

We need more size and we need a stretch 4, while getting more PT at point for Dragic, I personally think this trade does that while also shoring up the backup 4/5, in case Wright gets an offer well above what we'd like to retain him at.

I really don't think IT is going to get us a 1st or even a good young player, he is what he is - a shoot-first PG who DOES pound the ball and gets hot quickly. The fact he's 5'9" is what hinders us.

Because I don't think Hawes adds anything to this team really. Does he really bring anything different than Kieff does? I mean, I guess you could point to the rebounding numbers, but I'd argue that Bled and Goran take at least 1 defensive board each from Kieff, so they really have similar rebounding impact. I think we need a better SF than PJ starting so we can bring PJ off of the bench. If you really want the stretch 4, just play Marcus at the 4.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

IT/Plumlee for DMo and Jason Terry

also add any Bullocks or Greens if you wish to reconfigure

Rockets need a ball handler when Harden sits and more depth at center with Dwight out
DMo is more of a 4

Terry is expiring and is whatver

I like a DMo/Len frontcourt twin towers scenario
He can even shoot the three and is a better defender than you would imagine

In reality, it would most likely be IT/Plumlee for TJones/Terry as they will probably me reluctant to let DMo go or want a better package

I like TJones as a prospect, still young and I think he can become a better defender. Only problem is that no one has an idea of how healthy he is.

I also really like Noah Vonleh.

Although I doubt he would be available, they've done some crazy things in the past. They need a point guard and IT would look really good there. We could sweeten it with picks and Vonleh reminds me of a young Serge

How about it?

I think we're robbing the Magic, but if you say it's fair, I'll agree with you :D

Really? Harris reportedly turned down 36 mil for 4 years from ORL. Do we really want to invest 10 mil+ per year on a small forward? I like Harris but he seems to be in the category good but not great, which would just add to an already roster stacked with above average non-superstar players.

If we knew we could resign him to a fair deal (not Parsons-Hayward deals) i'd jump on it.

With the cap room going off and him having a breakout season be4 the injury I could see some teams offering him 15 per. Or maybe I overvalue him, dunno.

because y'all seem to think everyone else does.

Simple question isn't it? Here is one more... Would you sign him now ?

This isn't an eye poke on IT. Im just saying outside of may be one or two teams, he is not needed, anywhere... and at almost 20 mil guaranteed over the next three, blah blah blah. IMO, moving him wont be as easy or rewarding as what some here think.

Desperation always sinks in for a fringe playoff team. I think Charlotte takes him no questions asked. Milwaukee too. Maybe Cleveland wants a bench guard who can score, that would probably be a straight salary dump though. I could see Houston getting interested.

I'm sure there may be other teams that could trade a guard, but I think IT is one of the better available scoring options.

I hope you are right, but I don't think any of the teams you listed would be good trade partners. I've looked at their rosters and do not see anything realistic. perhaps you do? Looking all around the league, may be.... may be Miami shows interest in Plum/IT for Cole/Anderson ??? I haven't seen many proposals that work well. If IT was an expiring, he would be gone yesterday. That 3 yr deal is hard to swallow. And even more so when we have to move Dragic instead.

PS.... I guess no need to ask any questions again???

I like that deal with Ridnour for IT

In fact, I like most deals for IT

I would take an expiring contract for IT.

I just think he is not good for the mix of players and Dragic is better

Green is horrible - ship him out too

 Knowing that Harris will be a FA, and appears to want to go to NY, O'Quinn would have to be in the deal for us to even think about it. We really don't need Ridnour. We would need another big if we lose Plumlee. Ben would be another chucker, we don't need. So, I don't see much value, other than just this year. Somehow our GM turns bronze into gold in deals.

IT might not get love here, but the dude can score, and he is best on our team at getting to the line, and when there, he shoots a good percentage.

Exactly. In Charlotte, I would take Noah Vonleh, but we'd have to make salaries match, (MKD, Henderson, Marvin Williams). I'd take MKD, but only because he's a restricted free agent (expiring). Would the Hornets do that deal though? Probably not, unless MJ really wants to make the playoffs this year. He hasn't been the most patient person, so it's plausible I guess.
Milwaukee isn't a good trade partner for us. Miami isn't either, unless they take IT/Tucker for Deng/Cole, I'd be all over that.

I would love that deal for Harris.

Bledsoe/Dragic/Len/Harris is a good core to build around.

The level of IT hate on this thread is unreal. I don't know if I've ever been offended on behalf of a player before. All these trades are vomit-inducing. Dragic fanboys, all. And it's not like Dragic is some benevolent passer. He's a ball hog, too. Check it. Watch it!

You guys check advanced stats AT ALL? IT is not the problem with this team. Stop sucking dragon-dick.
