I think he can play the 4 next to a Gobert, maybe even a Len. I can't see it working next to Chriss though. I have no idea about pairing him with Bender, it's going to take some time before we know what he can give us playing in the middle.

I don't know about Len, I don't think he's mobile enough. Gobert or DAJ would be the two guys I think you can pair TJ with for him to be successful as a full time 4. Bender, in time, perhaps.

I think with Len it's more a matter of reaction time than it is mobility. When he knows where he wants to go he's actually very fluid but he has a delayed reaction far too often. I've said this before but it always reminds me of the difference between someone who can speak a language fluently versus someone that has to translate each word. He often times seems to have to figure out what he should do and then does it.

I see TJ having a breakout season next year ala Joe Johnson. He played very well the last two months of the season. I think he could average 18+ points and 7+ rebounds with a TS% of .560 or better. That is an elite player. If his three point shooting takes off he will be closer to a .600 TS% which would make him a top player in the league.

TJ's never played a game as bad as Marquese's first two games of summer league. He's incapable of inflicting that degree of self-harm.

He's 6'9". Had a lot of success on the boards in the second half of the season. Let's try him at the 4. If other teams want to throw a stretch 4 at TJ, they're gonna regret that matchup for sure.

Also, Ryan, could you do me a solid and extend TJ once we've got the summer squared away? Thanks...

I would offer him something similar to what the Knicks just paid Hardaway Jr. and hope he took it, although if I was TJ I would bet on myself and go into free agency next year and let the market set the price. But I think thats a fair offer to make.

The problem is that with TJ and JJ at the forwards you need a 3 point shooter at the 5. That lineup will not work with Chandler, Williams or even Chriss. Maybe Bender. Waiting for Chriss and/or Bender to develop is going to be painful.

I agree, but only to an extent. Sometimes you just gotta play your five best guys. And we can all be forgiven for hoping that one of TJ or JJ will develop into a solid shooter. If that happens, this isn't even a conversation. Right now, Bled, Ulis, Booker, JJ and Warren are our five best players. You have Ulis come off the bench and start the other 4. It's the best we're going to do.

Can't wait for TJ to tear some **** up this year. Still confused by some folks on this board calling for a trade or sending him to the bench?? Wasn't he our best player last year? At least for a large portion of the year? I guarantee he has worked extremely hard this offseason(he always does). At least he won't show up out of shape.

Also, stop with the #timeline stuff. It's silly and unoriginal. We don't need a hashtag to prove that our FO couldn't get it done in the offseason.

I am happy with our offseason so far, but that hashtag is super cheesy and extremely annoying.

Works for Nicki Minaj I guess...but yeah, I don't like it...but the above example saying it twice in a sentence isn't really where they are typically trying to rhyme.

I think the most intriguing lineup I'm looking forward to is Bledsoe/Booker/Jackson/Warren/Bender.
