Beyond Blazers, only contender for Aldridge that he's clear about organization, about role for him: Spurs. Everyone else, still questions.

Ugh.

We're about to get screwed by the Spurs again, aren't we?

I hate that franchise with a passion.

I mean how many times have we gotten our hopes up only to have them crushed by the Spurs? Will it ever end? It was the Lakers in the 80s, the Rockets in the 90s and the Spurs in the 2000s. But they really haven't crushed our hopes in this decade so maybe this will be the beginning and first for us. I guess if you count 2010 in this decade, we did sweep them that year so they haven't owned us in a while.

We will have traded Marcus/Bullock/Granger for nothing (which i'm perfectly fine with), and there is no way that Markieff stays and we just sign Chander, so that S&T has to happen. So that leaves us with no PF at all. David West and Jordan Hill would probably be my best guess.

I really like Jordan Hill but I don't know that he fits all that well now that we have Chandler. I don't think David West will sign with us, though he could if the Spurs get LaMarcus. I was hoping Ed Davis, but he's gone.

We won't really have the cap space though unless we trade or sign and trade someone.

Dragic is completely overrated. Whiteside is a good player. Deng is very inconsistent. Bosh just missed last season because of those scary medical reasons (hope he is okay now). If Aldridge went there, what are they gonna do? Put Bosh on the bench? No way. They just signed him last year for 5 years, 118 million. You do not bring a guy making almost 24 million a year off the bench. So that means Whiteside is going to the bench. Well Bosh is not a center. Aldridge does not want to play center. And why do you want Aldridge anyway if you already have Bosh and Whiteside? The only thing I can think of is a sign and trade of Aldridge for Bosh and I have no idea if Portland would that. And still, a lineup of Dragic, Wade, Deng, Aldridge, and Whiteside does not compare to the Cavaliers. I wonder why Aldridge wants to even meet with the Heat.

There are a lot of options still with Miami. Say LMA called the Suns and said no thank you. Then Riley called up McD and said LMA wants to play for us. Would you take Bosh in a sign and trade?

Also, Bogdan was supposedly their draft pick, but we snagged him before they did.

Riley isn't trading Bosh to get LMA.

Is it possible we may have a deal with Chander that reduces his contract to something like 4/40 if we sign his buddy LMA? Something like this ever happened before?

how so? with the moves that we made or are making, we've been told we have the ability to sign Aldridge outright, which is over $18mil. we'd have that same amount of cap space to go after what's left in the market right?

Raptors would via their remaining 10 million cap space (we can take Leuer too) and send a future 1st.

Deal

I'd be a little upset if we give up a first with Kief, his production to pay ratio is pretty damn good.

So maybe Bosh is thinking about taking a medical retirement.

Chandler didn't come here to play with LMA. He came here for $$$.

We're using Chandler to get LMA, not the other way around

Riley's like what, 80 something years old, so his dinner with Alderage should be starting here in about and hour or so.

Nothing is in writing but it certainly wouldn't be good to not stick to our verbal offer. You don't want to renege with the league watching.

I thought he was offering a future 1st from TOR but maybe not.

lol yes, raptors would send a future 1st to you. Didn't expect to get Morris for free And have you send a 1st to do so.

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

If we sign him outright we use all our cap space and still have to sign and trade Markieff and more to get Chandler. If we get both Aldridge AND Chandler one has to come via S&T and it might take both Markieff and Tucker. It's probably got to be pretty close to what Chandler will make ($13M) and those two contracts match. I just hope we don't throw in one of our recent 1st round draft picks instead of Tucker. It would be nice if we could S&T Green with Kieff, but you can't combine them in a trade.

I'd rather trade Kieff and Tucker separately to other teams though to clear the space because they have value and we could get a first for Kieff and something for Tucker.
