Re: KD to the Suns
You guys were right. I feel bad. We got very lucky with that trade.
I think the choice now is a quick all in and move off of Paul and Ayton for 2 seasons of contending around KD and Book or to blow it all up mid season and have massive rebuild that even OKC would be jealous of (stockpiling picks, young studs, and just build around Booker).

Funny when Miyagi is one of the only positive guy around here, the vast majority crap on him being positive, and then a trade he doesn't like is made, and he doesn't feel good about the future, and everyone disagrees like he can't have his own opinions too.

It's possible to have an opinion without acting like a dink about it.bwgood77 wrote:Funny when Miyagi is one of the only positive guy around here, the vast majority crap on him being positive, and then a trade he doesn't like is made, and he doesn't feel good about the future, and everyone disagrees like he can't have his own opinions too.
Honestly this board is at a place where lots of folks should just put each other on their ignore list and stick to just talking hoops instead of all the petty fan infighting.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

It's become toxic for awhile and not fun, despite our team being about the best they've ever been. I can understand emotions though, especiall after a huge trade that traded away some of our fan favorites essetially blowing up one of the best teams in Suns history. I mean, I understand it but it was disappointing to me and obviously some others. Bridges was my favorite player maybe ever. Booker is also probably many people's favorite ever, and if he were traded, even if it somehow, to some, made us better, would probably create many disappointed or even angry fans.
From history, Miyagi more seems sarcastic/joking....and not vitriolic. He is not even engaging much with people trying to argue with him in the last few posts I saw, but when he does, it appears to be just opinions.

Is there a difference when that's all he posts now?

SHAZAM!
Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Re: KD to the Suns
ELITE
He's always been a solid help defender and got even better as he got older and started to play closer to the basket as a defender.
DA is going to be a big time benefactor of having KD better integrated defensively. DA's best seasons defensively has been with an elite help defender in Crowder and his dip defensively last season aligns with the loss of Crowder and having Craig as the primary 4 for the majority of the season

Re: KD to the Suns
KD has always been elite help defense wise, but you need a physical big and wing next to him to protect him from the bumps. If we had an Aaron Gordon at the 3, it'd be over.
Ayton has the body to be the enforcer, can he bring the toughness and motor though? Don't trust him at all but that's why we got Vogel.

Ish Wainright joined the show today and had a great story about going head-to-head with Kevin Durant!

This tells me he's still trying to find his role with Booker et al.
He still has it, even if it's not every game. We just need our guys healthy so they can build that chemistry.

Re: KD to the Suns
A mid-range shot really is a lay-up for him.
With his length and size, if he's patient, and Book and Beal are also doing their thing, he'll be able to take great shots almost 90% of the time.
