When I watch those highlights I think Fox most looks like an NBA superstar.

Of course PGs who can't shoot, the most likely scenario is that they remain that way EG. Mudiay / Exum / Peyton / Carter-Williams / Rubio / Marshall etc..

I see this years draft ending up like last years, taking two guys we've been high on. Think about it. Gambo last year basically told us we were high on Bender and Chriss days before the draft and we choose one and end up getting both on a great trade to snag Chriss.

I'm not sure who or how, but I can see us snagging Fox, trading Bled and ending up with Isaac who we've been all about, bringing him in twice and all of a sudden we're a no go on him?

I guess it's not exactly how Gambo did it last year, but man, running with..

Fox/Ulis
Book/#32
Isaac/Warren
Chriss
Bender/Chandler

Fill in Isaac at any of the 3/4/5.

That's a fun, athletic, young team with so much potential. I'd love to upgrade shooting at 3, but as much as I'd be alright with KP, doing this Golden State style and trusting our young pieces sounds fun to watch.

Fox being our drive and dish/score
Book being our young but capable scoring leader
Isaac giving us defensive length, versatility and a decent off the ball scoring option
Chriss and Bender grow into their future rolls
Warren scoring off the bench
Ulis our benches leader and sparkplug
Chandler helping our bigs learn to play.

My preference in order for today would Porzingis / Jackson / Fox / Tatum.

If there is any other option I'm going to need a lie down.

I made my decision. I will be happy with Jackson, Butler, KP, or Tatum.

KP/Jackson/Tatum are what I've narrowed down to, in that order. Would be very happy with any of them though. Would also be cool trading Bledsoe if we could get into the top 8 and take DSJ to replace him, I think he's got star potential.

I'd be happy with any of:
trading #4 as part of a deal for KP
trading#4 as part of a deal for Butler
Drafting and keeping any of Jackson, Fox, or Tatum at #4
Maybe Isaac if Boston picks Jackson
Trading Bled as part of a deal for KP, Butler or straight up for a top 10 pick

What I won't be happy with any of:
Trade #4 for Love
Trade #4 for George
If we go Isaac or Fox over JJ. Even if we didn't want JJ we could trade back a pick or two and still get Isaac/Fox
Giving up any 1st round picks or a young piece (bender, warren, etc) for Millsap.
Giving up on Bled for anything lower than #12 ( which is pushing it)

I think shooting will come around in time for Fox but at 170 lbs for a player who game is based off driving to the basket, I am really worried that this going to lead to a lot of injuries.

I don't think there's any truth to the current Bledsoe rumor (that we are trying to dump his contract) and I hope there's no truth to the rumor we like Fox. He's not a bad pick but I don't think he's a clear upgrade over Ulis and if he isn't, he's the wrong player to bring into that locker room IMO. Flip a 3 sided coin on Jackson, Tatum and Isaac and let's speed this offseason along. Is it summer league yet? How about now?

A problem in the locker room? Not an upgrade over Ulus?

Any other baseless facts you want to add?

I'm just glad there is at least a rumor involving Bledsoe moving on

Did I present facts? Did I present opinions disguised as facts? I don't think so. I presented my opinions. Have the rules here changed, am I alone in thinking it's okay to offer up opinions? Besides, you misunderstood part of my post. That's probably on me as I didn't fully flesh out my position but given that I have elaborated on the point several times (as have a few others), I mistakenly thought it would stand without exposition.

I like Ulis, I believe he's capable of becoming an above average starter. I don't particularly like Fox (his game), at least as a regular starter. I think he's a slightly shorter Patrick Beverley minus the dirty play. I like his defense, I love his character and attitude, I'd like to have him on my team in most situations. But given that I don't believe he's a clear upgrade to Ulis and that Ulis is BFF to the anointed one, I am concerned about the possible disruption this could cause if we spent the 4 on Fox and either didn't move him in front of Tyler or DID move him in front of Tyler. Either way, I see "possible" problems that can be resolved by not risking the situation in the first place. Even if I'm wrong on De'Aaron's potential (and I well could be), the talent around that pick seems even enough to justify avoiding this predicament.

As for Bledsoe, I think we're going to trade him sometime soon, maybe even today. I'm very much in favor of it happening soon, maybe even today. I just don't believe there's any merit in the report that we were focusing on trying to dump his contract. His contract, his value, is very much in our favor. It's his next contract that I believe we want to avoid.

Unlike the last few years, there is no pick at #4 that would make me become majorly upset. I would be okay with any of Monk, Jackson, Tatum, and of course Isaac.

I have Isaac as my first choice still at #4. Not sold on Josh Jackson's shooting just yet. He shoots the ball from the hip and brings it up really slow... I think he might struggle in the NBA against longer faster close-outs. The last thing we need is a non-shooting wing, and another PJ Tucker.

I like Tatum. I think hes alot like Jabari Parker coming out of Duke, but abit more crafty and less athletic. I think he can play the 4 alongside Warren and Booker. I think his defence gets crapped on too much.

1. Isaac
2. Tatum
3. Jackson

This is pretty much how I feel except I'd replace monk with fox. I don't want any part of monk at 4. Too many question marks on how he will help a team outside of shooting.

Tatum has grown on me quite a bit since the lottery. I'd first like to trade for Porzingis if he's available and if not I'd prefer not to trade our pick for someone like Butler.

1)Jackson
2)Tatum

One of them will be there and either one are going to help this team get better.

This guy says KP deal may be close. And like I mentioned, I think it comes down to if the Celtics take Tatum. If Jackson falls to us, I think this deal goes through. Though I don't mind keeping Jackson either.

That's the money shot I've been looking for. Play hard to get McD. DO IT! Make these guys offer us the moon and we can steal this draft day! Phil is weak and can see this happening for cheaper than we expected.

I wouldn't mind giving the 4th pick up (Jackson) and young player.. as much as i would hate to give up a guy like bender after only one year of really developing.. or a guy like Chriss who has shown signs of a baby shawn kemp (SONICS).. Id be swap 4th/youth for the unicorn. SIGN ME UP

Bled + #4 + Warren + Miami 1st
for
KP and #8

Phil said they need to upgrade 1, 2, and 3.

Draft Isaac at 8 if he's there? Maybe DSJ?

Ulis
Book
Isaac
Chris/Bender
KP

Look at that young and talented team! No need to rush the rebuild. That team will be ready in 2 years to make a good run, especially if we can add some veteran pieces.
