Randle is going to slip by the looks of it. It would be terrific if McD pull off a trade up (7-9 range) for him.

That guy would be a monster PF playing for a good coach like Hornacek.

I can pretty much guarantee you Wiggins, Parker, Randle, Exum, Smart, Vonleh, Embiid, & Gordon will not be a Sun. All those guys will be very much gone and no one is trading out of those picks.

Exactly. No one is going to trade the Suns a pick that will net them any one of those prospects; they're just too good. And you might be able to add Zach Lavine to that list at the end of the day. Gordon has a slim chance of being the exception simply because he really just looks like a really great role player.

We shall see. Stranger things have happened.

What do you guys think about McDermott`s ceiling? Starter material or not?

I'd stay away from Gordon. We need a post scorer. We have enough guys who float around the 3-point line at 6-8+.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Some first year player with high potential (outside of the usual top 5-6 projected) will most likely be available when Suns pick...

At worse, suns probably can trade to pick 8-9... By trading a pick 15 and a pick 20 for example...

And grab a Vonleh and then use the other 2 picks to grab the high potential as mentioned on my first sentence..

Dario Saric looks interesting so does Hezonja too.

And it may not be a draft thread material but I would try to get Perry Jones from Thunder and turn him to be the next Frye... But more mobile and athletic....

Vonleh is going in the top 7.

I think the direction Perry Jones should be developed in is the 2006 Tim Thomas.

But Perry Jones is longer and taller... 6'11...
Suns can mold him to a stretch 4 like Frye, but with ability to run and finish in transition....

I think he can be a specialist stretch 4.... he has more talent than Frye and is definitely more athletic.

Tim Thomas 2006 is a good target too....

Either way, a younger, more athletic, mobile Frye or Tim Thomas 2006 version would be IDEAL for the Suns PF needs.

I'd love to have him. Starter material? Maybe, maybe not, but a useful guy? For sure, and probably ready immediately for what he provides. Think of Mike Miller on the Heat last year. Without him, they don't win the finals. Miller went 5th in the draft, but in a bad draft. I think McDermott will slip because of everyone being enamored with perceived upside with others. I think McDermott is somewhat of a sure thing for what he will give a team. If he is there in the late teens when we have our pick, he is worth it in my opinion.

At this point, I'd be happy (barring a chance to get Kevin Love) to stay with what we have, draft maybe Rodney Hood, Doug McDermott and maybe a guy like Tyler Ennis or Jahii Carson as a huge spark off the bench.

He would be a good fit an will probably be an option with one of the mid rounders. IMO he's a safe pick because worst case scenario he's a great bench shooter and will be a useful role player. Now I also think he's got a decent upside too.

Hood is going in the top 10.

With Bledsoe/Dragic starting and Green/Goodwin under contract plus Plumlee/Len gotta assume we're looking at wings/forwards. Guys in that mid-teens to early-20's window could be:

McDermott
LaVine
Saric
Harrell
Grant
Dekker
Anderson
Payne
Warren
GR3

I like Stauskas too, can never have enough shooting...

I like a guy like Montrezl Harrell, he bangs around on the inside and grabs them boards which is really what we're missing this year. A guy who can go and grab a ton of boards and play good post D

He's really been more productive of late, which has put him more on my radar than earlier in the season. I like the power and athleticism that he brings to the 4 position, and it looks like he has some skill waiting to be realized.

Even with Dragic/Bledsoe, I would still draft Markel Brown. I'm still evaluating him, but right now I feel he can be just as good as Eric Bledsoe, if not better.

And IMO, while I do like Plumlee, he looks like he may be better suited as a backup. Couple that with Len's ankles, that combo wouldn't inspire to pass on a great center prospect. Alas, where the Suns are drafting, there really isn't a great center prospect, so that's why I would say center probably won't be an option. Jusuf Nurkic is a solid prospect; I wouldn't mind drafting and stashing him.

I'm with INF on Brown, he's an amazing athlete. More Oladipo than Bledsoe though IMO.
