Not sure if SF is where they need depth but I could see Tucker for the Wiz' first rounder. He could actually really help them

Piggy-backing on Tucker/Celtic rumor/talk...

Suns OUT: PJ Tucker / Phoenix 2018 1st RD (1-18 protected)

Celtics OUT: Abdel Nader / Jonas Jerebko / Minnesota 2017 2nd RD

It's effectively, an expiring Tucker for expiring Jerebko & a 2nd round pick. Jerebko almost has to be included for the Celtics to acquire Tucker. Considering PJ is expiring and the T-Wolves pick is a high 2nd, it could be considered a slight overpay by Boston.

And then...

Suns protected '18 pick for 6'6" Majerle-esk Nader...perhaps an overpay/gamble by Phoenix...but I'd do it. Suns don't really have that 2/3 swingman. Maybe DJJ? Not clear on how Celtic Fan views Nader's worth. High, but how high?

...anything else going on?

I've never even heard of Abdel Nader. Weird. Is he ripping up the D-League or something?

I hate everything about that trade. We should be trading Tucker for a late 1st or for a young guy with potential. Neither player here fits that bill for me, and we're also throwing in a 1st for a 2nd.

Oh, why are we unloading a 1st round pick to get rid of Tucker? lol

I just do not think the Suns are going to get a first for Tucker...so I'm settling for an early second rounder. Jerebko is simply filler to enable trade.

I like what I've seen of Nader and his roster role if the Suns obtained him. So, I'm willing to trade a future, late(r) 1st round pick to get him "in". If you don't like his potential, I can understand how this is an easy "no" for you.

Incumbent teams have no leverage anymore to deal George or Butler anymore.

NO pick is likely to be around 12-16 as the main asset.

Now that Cousins is off the table, I feel it's a good time to sell high on Bledsoe. But with Bledsoe being McD's signature trade and with another (disgruntled) star off the market, I don't see Bledsoe being moved any time soon.

Didn't reach for the sky? Pelicans barely stood up and still got a deal done.

  Fair point.

Our rumored offer a few weeks ago and the one today was so much better than what the Kings actually got. I'm shocked and also amused at the incompetence of an NBA front office.

Bledsoe is on a steal of a deal. He could fetch a decent asset imo. But honestly, trade him or not I really don't care since Cousins is off the market and because we didn't get him there's no way in hell we attract a guy like Butler or George now.

I really think the deal got done because Vivek is obsessed with the Warriors and he has been constantly looking for guys who have that hype (remember STAUSKAS). Vivek probably thinks Hield is the next Curry or something like that.
