Goodwin looking SOLID tonight.

Jeff is talking to him in basically every timeout and Archie looks like he's listening and trying to learn.

I really like this pick and hope he works out!

Im so glad the Lakers made the Playoffs, otherwise we wouldnt have gotten this kid.

His potential is through the roof. Always attacking, and he has great size and athleticism.

The best part of this is that he is only 18 years old!

We have a gem on our hands here folks.

My favorite at UK, as I said before, back in the college season I said Goodwin will be a better pro than Mclemore. I based this off terrible handles for BMac,great shooter but that is it. Goodwin is 1 1/2 years younger than McLemore. The Kansas folk laughed at me,etc, time will tell, maybe both will be stars, but for me Goodwin is the steal of the draft. Be patient, he has no fear in attacking the rim and sometimes makes bad decisions but that is his age and experience. #Goodwin!

Yeah I guess we are starting to see why McD wanted to move up so badly. Even one spot. I guess we should be really happy with of FO right now. Seems to be they are making mostly great moves. Can't wait to see what Len (and theGMan) has to offer when he is surrounded by quality guards.

A real diamond in the rough if he can put it together.

Look at Lance Stephenson of the Pacers. It took a few seasons but he's become a promising starter for one of the better teams in the league.

You've gotta love a game like this from this kid, had a very poor effort in the last game and was clearly upset by it and he responds with 22 points. Now I think he is still going to take some time for his game to become complete but McD may have grabbed himself another steal.

In McD we trust
I like Draft Picks/Cap Space, long walks on the beach, and short youtube clips.

Real great showing from him. If he can work on his Free Throws a bit, he'll be such a beast.

I think I remember in an article that he was still growing. Archie had said that he figured he would end up about 6'8". Does anyone know if this is still true?

Imagine the future possibilities of a Bledsoe-Goodwin backcourt.........

He will turn 19 in August. After doing a quick Google search, apparently men stop growing any taller between 21 and 25. So yes, I guess it's possible he could grow to 6'8".

19 next month, his potential is through the roof. What would Phoenix fans or anyone else consider his ceiling, assuming he will be 6'6 for reference? Like I said, he will drive you nuts or amaze you at this point. I am very high on AG.

His ceiling? I think he could certainly develop into a game changing player. Definitely has the skills to one day become an All-Star. He just has to continue learning and playing hard. He's got a good head on his shoulders and seems motivated to continually improve his play on the court. I definitely see great things in this kid's future.

I believe he works hard enough and he can definitely be a star. I guess in HS he was used to just getting to the rim and dunking. He played out of position for UK for part of the season. look at his #'s though, an excellent freshmen.
Early on he was projected higher lotto, we had some players who flat out hijacked the team and was stuck with no options. Archie had to try to do too much, Noel went down and the rest mailed it in. I guess his workouts didn't impress some, he is a gamer though. Steal of the draft I hope.

Add a consistent outside shot, improve free throw shooting, and learn the mental game. If he does those three things, being a Westbrook type of player is very possible.

"He was good today. He walked on that last one. I don't know how they didn't call that. It was nasty but he took off from the three-point line with one dribble. I could call that one from the bench! It was nasty though. He played good. I liked it." - PJ Tucker

I have honestly seen worse than that during the regular season and playoffs and not get called. Plus I don't even think he actually traveled. He took two steps on a drive to the rim, I thought that was legal.

He has pretty long strides and is super quick so perhaps it looked to Tucker like a walk....

Everyone is happy about Archie Goodwin and this off-season because of his play and that is without Eric Bledsoe or Alex Len stepping on the court, imagine if those guys to impress as well! I wouldn't mind seening some small ball with Bledsoe, Goodwin, and Goran!
