yo, Caris LeVert! look at that silky jumper. he's got a little.....Damian Lillard in him?

draft notes: Thon isn't in college yet. pretty sure he graduates this year, so next year's draft. i think? not sure at all.

Skal looks pretty raw. Murray looks small, or maybe he plays small, although we have little chance of getting him.....i don't know what it is about him, but he seems like he'd be underwhelming in this league.

but i digress. Caris LeVert, who has just made my "i call that guy" list.

whoever we draft, it's time for some Best Player Available action. one of Archie, Devin, and T.J. isn't making it to our final playoff roster, with Archie being the most likely candidate. LeVert could make Hydra real again....maybe.....did i just use the H word? yeesh.

anyway, can't go wrong. look at McD's draft history. the way i see it, he's been the best drafting GM of the last 3 years. anyone disagree with that?

interesting question. seems like there are at least a couple players picked after Len in 2013 that we'd rather have. i'd have rather picked nurkic than warren when the draft was happening, dunno about now. i'd have to look at the draft list to remembe who else was picked. and last yr it's too soon, but Booker looks great

so I'm not sure I'd agree w you that he's been the best, but i'm definitely happy w how we've drafted the last few yrs overall

Didn't realise how strong the East is.

We could be 6th pick by end of the week, with losses to Memphis and Chicago we're 8-14.

Only Sacramento, NO, Lakers, Brooklyn, 76ers worse.

With it being perceived as a poor draft, it might be easier to get a higher pick.

Oh yeah, I will never pull for us to lose (unless it is the end of the season with a higher draft pick on the line and no chance at playoffs) but if we are in bottom 7 or so, we have a legit chance at a top 3 or even top pick. A 5% chance is a hell of a lot better than less than a 1% chance, and plenty of teams in that position of lower have won it.

This is one of the few things that can give us hope this season. We can have a Top 5 pick easily. I trust McDonough (if he is with the team next season) because I think he is a great talent evaluator.

Suns drafting a UK guard or a sh*t to mediocre twin/brother is as much of a lock as the Spurs are at drafting a foreign draft 'n stash.

See you next year, Jamal Murray or Isaiah Briscoe.

Ben Simmons is the perfect PF in the current NBA. It would be amazing to have him next year. Too good to be real.

HaHa... We just won 1 out of recent 9 games.

It would be possible to chase Ben in the near future.

We're not bad enough to be one of the worst 5 records, we have too much talent. Eventually Tyson will come back and we will win enough games to hit .500 again..looks like another 9th place finish honestly. So 14th pick..Ben Simmons isn't happening unless we decide to really blow it up.

We should blow up. Trade Morris, Tucker and Knight, play Booker, Warren, Len and Goodwin heavy minutes and see where it goes.

Right now according to BPI, it would only take 38 wins to get the 8th seed in the west. Currently we are tied with Houston in projected records tied for the 8th seed in the west at 37-45.

Is this where I get to make fun of Gonzaga for thinking they were better than the Cats?

   :naaa: :rofl2: :pityfool:
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Point taken, I'll be the first to admit I haven't been paying much attention to teams outside of PHX this season. Although I will say I think the top 8 west teams will all be over .500 by seasons end, just too much talent in the conference not to happen. Will be interesting to see if we can make a run at one of the last spots. Just need Tyson back to get to .500 ball.

Yeah, we could get that top 5 pick. It's a bad draft. Of course this would be the year we get the 5th pick. But maybe we could get the Dragan....see first page of this thread.

If we cant land JJ this year, it's looking like a very sad recruting pool for us (I know Markkanen is good, but we got him because everyone else was sleeping on him badly)

Andrew Jones was my hope this year but he committed to Texas.

If JJ drag this thing until the NHS (when he'll play with his friends who committed to MSU)... it's done.
We need to make an awesome recruiting pitch saturday.

Who is JJ? And really rather have him than Ben Simmons?
