Think if we signed Amare Stoudemire as a backup 4, or dealt the Morris twins for something useful and then had that bomb to drop on LMA in the next meeting. Really showing him he's our building block for the future.

I remember something about Amare and Chandler not liking each other before they played in NY? There was a rivalry when they were young. I do like the idea of a second meeting. Gives us a chance to reinforce our strengths.

They have D-Mo and a bunch of big men that can entice the Blazers.

Magic fan here, I'm rooting for you guys to land LMA im tired of the same teams reloading every year. I'd also like to see the Magic get in on the Morris twins in a deal to help you guys clear some cap space.

Would this work?
Fournier, Nicholson and a pick for the Morris Brothers , clear enough space?

Would love it if we could bring some Suns alumni for the pitch. Nash, how about one last assist?

It's all good mate

I would be frustrated too if I couldn't get my point about Rockets being an alarmingly good S&T partner across 8-)

Not sure, but those would be some good backups, and Markieff would be a good get for you guys. Not sure if him and Frye liked each other or not...don't see any evidence they didn't though.

I looked it up, they both have qualifying offers at around 3.3 mil. Not enough.

edit, nevermind that was next year.

Fournier is $2,288,204
Nicholson is $2,380,593

So a difference of around 5.5 mil.

bwgood77 wrote:After talking a while about the Spurs and their good chances with Aldridge, here is what Lowe said about the Suns...

The Suns end of this is really interesting. It’s hard to nail down any team’s cap situation as so many deals hang in the air, but they would appear to be out of cap room after agreeing to a four-year, $52 million deal with Chandler and re-signing Brandon Knight — even if they save Knight’s contract for last. That leaves a sign-and-trade as the most realistic way to land Aldridge.

Blazers GM Neil Olshey drafted Eric Bledsoe, but the Suns aren’t interested in dealing Bledsoe, per several league sources, and the Bledsoe–Damian Lillard pairing might leave both players frustrated. But Phoenix has plenty of picks and young players, including two interesting pieces — Alex Len and Markieff Morris — who play the same positions as Chandler and Aldridge. Trading for one Morris means acquiring the other, and given that they are facing assault charges, it’s unclear how appetizing the Morris platter is to Portland.

But couldn't they go back to their Jailblazers name?

We had a lot of success with a Morris, Morris, Frye front court. I don't see why they wouldn't like each other.

Annnnnnnnd Draymond Green is off the board now.

Makes me think, especially if Monroe doesn't go to NY, that we could deal the Twins to NY for the cap space if need be. They can simply absorb them and give us a trade exception.

Some of these I didn't see posted from Gambo:

John Gambadoro @Gambo987 · 5h5 hours ago
Tyson will add Leadership, defense rebounding, toughness and character. And put Morris twins in their place

John Gambadoro @Gambo987 · 1h1 hour ago
Suns pitched LaMarcus on never having won here so doing so would be more special than going somewhere where they have multiple championships

John Gambadoro @Gambo987 · 13m13 minutes ago
Just spoke with an NBA player who has talked with LaMarcus "Not showing his cards, interested in Suns. They are definitely in the running"

John Gambadoro @Gambo987 · 9m9 minutes ago
Also told me "LaMarcus is a Dallas kid and always dreamed about playing home and that it is hard to say no to the Spurs" So we will see.

Wow, that is such an overpay. I would love it if they started calling fouls on him, and he becomes completely ineffective.

Sure I like Nicholson. Fournier too, but we don't need another SG tbh
