Bledsoe has 4-5 of those awful plays a game where he has no idea what he is doing and no purpose for that dribble. He really needs to figure out how to not get trapped when he picks up his dribble and no where to go with it. Probably 3 of his turnovers a game come from those plays

Well, I doubt Hornacek or anyone on the team when huddling on the court said "hey, lets not take the lead, but just try and get close" but I think considering we are on the road, against a team higher in the standings than us, with a better coach, having lost their last three home games (all very close), and us on a b2b, it's not going to be an easy one to pull out.

But we should be shooting better.

Never said Hornacek or anyone on team huddled and said "hey lets not take the lead but just try and get close" not sure where you getting that from.

And nice excuses but no, if Suns want to make playoffs they got to win games like these. Not gonna be easy but that doesn't mean they can't play better.

Surprised we aren't getting smashed on. But I think this is what happened when we played them earlier in the year right? Close at half and then they blew us out in the 3rd quarter?
They are a savvy veteran team, we just need to play quality man defense and make some shots.

Bledsoe makes a lot of dumbass decisions but there is zero doubt in my mind all he wants to do is win and leaves everything he has in him on the court.

That's why watching the game and stats show different things. Yes he's getting buckets here and there and he's been good defensively but if you were watching the game, you could see the difference in his body language compared to other games where he's just attacking and aggressive all game long.

He could be tired and that's understandable since its 2nd night of a back to back but yea.

Awful play to end the half. Hold the ball for 20 seconds then turn it over.

He averages 3.6 turnovers per game. If you're suggesting that 83% of his turnovers come from just being trapped, I'm not sure that's correct.

I'm not saying excuses, I;m just responding to a crazy statement insinuating we would would only try to get close but not try to take the lead. That's absurd. And then, yes, other than that I was stating facts. This is not a game we SHOULD win. I don't know who is favored, but at best, it's a toss up.

He's 5th in the NBA among PGs in turnovers per game and 40th in the league among PGs in assist/turnover ratio.

If he can fix that, he becomes the superstar that we've been searching for. But his boneheaded turnovers as jeff2020 mentioned is something he hasn't showed improvement in over the last 2 years and this year.

If there is a distinction between what your eyes tell you and what the stats say, please side with the stats for the sake of being able to put together an objective point rather than one which is almost always clouded by bias. And I think that's pretty out of line to suggest people who disagree with you aren't watching the games (especially when they are posting in this thread).

Definitely a game we should win even though in a dog fight not a blowout especially considering Suns players should take this game personally after this Mavs team humiliated them in the season opener in Phoenix.

If I may clarify what I mean: There isn't a stat which quantifies "effort" or "body language" so if you have stat line which suggests otherwise, then that pretty much makes it impossible to argue otherwise. Suggesting a player/team doesn't perform because they "don't want it" or anything like that is usually vague BS and is actually at the analytical level of ESPN First Take. It shows a lack of curiosity to investigate what the actual underlying problem is. It doesn't really help us understand anything about the situation at hand. Unless of course that player is Markieff Morris. But Eric Bledsoe absolutely is not near Morris levels of effort.
