Yeah, AZ players getting robbed. Iguodala got absolutley robbed in the contest losing to Nate Robinson because it was in NY. I think he bounced off the back of the backboard and somehow dunked it and still lost.

Oh yeah, here it is...

Of course the next youtube was the top 40 and I had to watch that...J Rich has # 3 and #1 and Vince Carter 2 and 4.

That video is funny. After every dunk, "The dunk contest is back!" Finally Chuck at some point says, "Kenny, you say that every year."

I really like LaVine as a prospect.

Would love to bring him in and start a trio of Booker, Goodwin and LaVine at the 1, 2, 3 spots and maybe a stronger Warren at the 4.... Would be insane scoring prowess from the perimeter and super fast lineup.

Gordon got flat out robbed - he had the two best dunks of the night!

I don't mind LaVine, he showed last year he could be an 18-20ppg scorer for a couple months - though don't think he'd fit with us.

And I'm completely over Kevin friggin Hart...why does the NBA think casual fans/actual fans want anything to do with him!? He ruins everything he's a part of - the celebrity game, the commentary etc...Horrendous.

LaVine looked like he panicked when Gordon did his monster dunks, could tell he was worried for sure. Then he went a little basic for his last couple, even though clearly difficult dunks.

Why don't these guys talk to professional dunkers? Like LaVine could do the scorpion dunk, surely?!

LaVine makes the free throw line dunks look trivial.
Makes it look slightly easier than MJ did.

This contest was one of the best ones in years for sure.

LaVine should of gotten less than 50 in that outside to inside reverse dunk..
Maybe 49 or 48... Because Gordon's between 2 leg dunk was one of the best dunks of the last decade.... Classic dunk that one.

I was just thinking they need to do away with this Kevin Hart stuff. It's not funny.

So do you think everyone will just set up Kobe all night so he can be the "MVP"? Doing things like this is getting really old, so I really hope that's not what happens, but you know it will.

LaVine deserved some of his 50s... But Gordon's loungin dunk was worth 51... One of the most physically difficult dunks to pull off... Vertical height wise... He might've come close to the world record... He got both his legs within about a foot and a half away from the rim.... And finished the dunk with power and execution.

I feel the dunk contest for a while has just been too gimmicky with excessive use of props. A lot of guys just jumping over ex-players or current players just doesn't anything for me. Basically they are favoring highlighting the gimmick or the prop over any sort of pure creativity of the dunk itself.

This year, Aaron Gordon did bring in that mascot but the dunks itself were absolutely amazing. Like some video game stuff. The on-handed 360 Mailman style tomahawk from a spinning mascot was so damn fun to watch. The spinning mascot just added more drama and gave that carnival games feeling. Loved it.

His dunk over the mascot would've been fairly standard if it wasn't for him bringing the ball under legs, that's something I've never seen before.

Lavine's freethrow line dunk off the alleyoop was a pure show of athleticism which I appreciate which was pretty sweet but he also essentially did the same dunk twice with a small variation which turned me off. His other dunks were also nice but I definitely feel like Gordon should've won it. He got robbed like Iggy got robbed.

Great comic and some of his films are alright but I feel the media has been so saturated with Kevin Hart that his humor has lost a bit of lustre. He's literally everywhere. I really don't mind him but when he's in everything I watch it does get a bit annoying. But when he's in everything I watch I suppose that's my problem :banghead:

Have to admit the Gordon v Lavine dunk off was pretty friggin' fun/fantastic.

NBA needs to abandon the panel of judges for a near-instant mass vote of the viewing fans. Giving the judges a choice of 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 points is too limiting for interpretation...especially with all the "9"s and "10"s be handed out.

So when will we break our 6 year long All-Starless drought? Now that Black Mama is hanging it up and no longer an automatic shoo in for a spot, that makes room for another Western Conference SG. Of course Harden and Klay will be perennial locks for the forseeable future. McCollum/Wiggins will probably be right behind them. I think Book will garner some consideration in a couple of years if he continues to develop at this exponential rate.

I have to say that Kobe looked like he was getting a bit choked up during his into, which in turn got me a little teary eyed.

Not in my book. Maybe top 15 all time. I guess you can say he was most MJ like after MJ. Several better players since though.

Several as in maybe 2? Only the Big Fundamental and the King have a convincing resume to supplant him as the #1 of this era.
