Humphlepuff is actually pretty okay. Hits the boards well, moves the balls well, and generally seems like he's not a terrible piece to have moving forward.

I don't expect this out of Hump every night, but he looked good. Love the way he goes after those boards and knocks people out of the way. 18 and 12 even in garbage time is pretty good. He also did it in limited minutes. Hump plus contract flex plus #12-#15 pick, I think is a pretty good win.

Might be a starter if Chandler's out.

You're right there's no grace in tanking!

Games against bottom 5 teams remaining:

Nets
Knicks
Min
@LAL
LAL
@MIN

Anymore then 2 wins here and we are in trouble. I also doubt we will run the table against everyone else. Someone is bound to slip up and we win accidentally.

Just looking at the standings...right now Portland would meet SA in 2/7 matchup. That would be awesome of Portland knocked off SA after Aldridge left them to join a "contender".

I get what you're saying, but if I don't get to see a Dubs-Spurs/Pop v. Kerr 7 game chess match once again, I'm gonna be pissed.

Yeah, I want to see that too, as long as SA doesn't win. Them blowing game 6 in the finals against Miami a couple years ago was one of my favorite moments as a basketball fan. An absolute brutal loss for the Spurs that has to rank among the all time terrible blown games.

Just let things happen and sit back and observe. Getting pissed over things outside of our control isn't worthwhile.

I see one win somewhere in there. We are bad, and we have been bad even against bad teams. Hopefully the tank keeps on tankin'

Got ya...

...I know I'm an outlier, but for years (nearly my whole conscious lifetime for the Suns) my favorite NBA teams are...

Suns (watching and hoping since March '70)
Warriors (I've lived in the Bay area for stretches of my life & have siblings there)
Spurs (Appreciate the amazing basketball & how long they've sustained it...and in a tiny market!)

So, if the Warriors and the Spurs meet up these playoffs it'll just be a blast watching the great play and X's & O's/player match-up maneuverings. Great sports theatre.

...and I won't really be routing strongly this way or that.

MUST BE TV! Hope it happens

I have always not liked the Spurs, far longer than before we started having those series with them. I just generally didn't like them with Robinson and Elliott and then Rodman....just never a likable team for me...and then when Robinson (who was a top 5 player at the time) was out for the year and they got Duncan I was just thinking "give me a freaking break". They have done well sustaining it after we knocked them out in 2010 but before that, they were mostly just lucky getting an all time great player (who was an obvious #1 pick) when they already had a clear cut #1 pick. There is usually only a clear cut #1 pick about half the time or maybe less, and they had two of the most obvious ones, and both were bigs.

Kawhi was a great move though...that was something I wished happened for another team so they could experience his greatness. Oh well.

I know it's impossible to quantify...or is it "qualify"? But how much of Kawhi's rise to greatness is a product of Pop's genius? If Leonard is drafted by the Suns or 20 other teams does he rise anywhere close to the status he has in the league currently. Great talent, that landed in the perfect spot was swooped up by a smart team.

Yep! The Spurs have had some darn good luck in the past 20 years or so, but they've also done practically everything else "top shelf" worthy that falls into the categories of- hard work, discipline & intelligence.

Not dumb enough to be at a Suns game? I thought you might attend some on occasion.

I'm kidding! Yeah when I get free tickets I would go. Today's game was just ugly so happy didn't go to it.. I feel bad for season ticket holders.

I believe it's june 30th, and it will be a no from us, as he is owed something like 13 mill next season, that would be a steep price to pay for his production, unless we can use the salary for a trade (which is unlikely, see: David Lee).

TBH every team that aquired Kris in the past was sort of against him but with time KH always 'bought' himself into the fanbase. My point is that Hump is really nice guy and quite good bench player that can provide you very good rebounding, automatic jump shot (long 2s is quite of his thing) and general knowledge of how to play against bench PFs. He is much better than some of you think :-)

I dont, but I suspect it will be like most deals and be a June 30 ending.

Knew he would be nice and board. Did not expect him to hit 2 there's and play as smart as he did. One mistake by passing instead of shooting that shot toward the end, but other than that be was solid. No practice, they just plugged him in and he ran with it and made plays. He may be able to average a double double if Chandler is out for any time. His defense was better than I remembered too. We'll see what happens....

After Jeff got canned, the games after the team was back to being watchable, we are now again unwatchable. Archie Goodwin won't be in the league in 2 years.

I'm okay with unwatchable as long as it means losing to the Lakers, Nets and T-wolves. We need to have the better tank.

Agreed on Archie. I don't understand the love, he is not special player and we can do much much better.

I am not sure that we even have to try to tank.

This is a really bad team.

I just hope Knight does not come back and jack up enough shots to create a couple of wins.

Hopefully he makes us worse, if that is possible.
