Bit of fantasy luck, put Scary Terry in my lineup because OKC game postponed and he drops 42 with 10 3s.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Wow, I am having a great day in dynasty, though I have 52% FG% and still have only 8 points in that cat, which is suprising. In Premier same thing...52% and only 8 points.

Why do guys who shot well one season change their shot? Makes no sense.

Top performers on my teams...
Dynasty
Westbrook 21/11/15
Gobert 20/17/2/1
Hield 22/4/3/1 (5 3ptm)
Brooks 16/4/6/2
Lillard sucked so that's cool. Only guy on my team to score single digits, lol.
Premier
Randle 17/9/9
Drummond 14/14/4/1
Murray 21/6/9/2
Everyone else was kinda meh. I guess Ingles and D-Lo were fine
Dynasty
Westbrook 21/11/15

Hield 22/4/3/1 (5 3ptm)
Brooks 16/4/6/2

Me trading you Westbrook and Gobert not looking great right now. Though Jokic did have a monster triple double along with 3 blocks. Smart not great but did get 7 assists with 2 blocks.
So my side of the trade - 32 pts (-9), 21 assists (+5), 16 rebounds (-12), 5 blocks (+4) and 2 steals (+2)

Pretty fair trade. I probably have the better end of it for the next 3-5 years but once Westbrook starts declining it's over lol. And Jokic is only 25.

Wiseman might not be helping the Warriors win, but he sure is helping my fantasy team. 18 points, 8 rebounds, 3 blocks, 3 3s, 5/6 on free throws in 25 minutes of action.
SHAZAM!
Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Re: 2020 Fantasy Basketball Thread (Dynasty/Premier/G-League)

Between Kyrie and Trae this is going to be a fun fantasy year. Two of my favorite players just going bonkers. Might have hit the nail on the head too with counting on Ingram and Brown taking leaps too. All Robinson has to do is play 20 mpg to be viable on my roster
If anyone wants to relinquish their superstar to me that's cool too.

I was going to send you an offer for him before the season but I dragged my feet and now that window is closed lol.

Yeah, I should have taken him. I even have a couple of young PGs and have been hurting in blocks since trading Gobert and not having another C other than Jokic who I traded him and Westbrook for.
Hopefully Killian Hayes turns into a stud though. At least he is also starting. Nice you are getting 3s and a good FT% from Wiseman..like two bonuses...especially in like his 2nd game as a pro.

I don't like to criticize others moves because I think we all for the most part are on top of our management game, but I think sometimes we all get confused in how to evaluate dynasty talent and let our experience in yearly/redraft leagues override what might be better decisions to make in dynasty. Ex in dynasty the best rookie to draft may not be the same rookie as a redraft league. I fell victim to a similar situation last year as I actually had drafted a rookie acknowledging his potential and then ended up dropping him early on for, iirc, Danuel House, or a player of similar caliber.
Was House better last year? Yes.
Could House be better this year? Maybe.
Is it the right move if both of those things are true? No. House, even if he is a must-roster, sometimes you can't be too worried about losing role players.
In the scenario of the draft, it might be wise to follow an approach more similar to actual NBA teams instead of following yearly league rankings.

Yeah, honestly it was weird...Wiseman was #1 on my board. Thought there was no way he makes it to 3. Didn't want Ball. Didn't know who else I might want. I originally thought Toppin but then thought he won't excel in the fringe cats I need as much.
Finally I came to Hayes looking at rankings, and in some places he is ranked higher than Wiseman, like here https://hashtagbasketball.com/fantasy-basketball-dynasty-rookie-rankings
So I talked myself into hoping Hayes fell, and then when they both were there, after I talked myself into Hayes, I kind of tried to talk myself out of Wiseman, even though he was higher on my board...because I had been researching everyone else so much assuming he would be gone. I kind of had this hesitation and almost instant regret even after making the pick. I still think in the end, it will probably be close unless Hayes busts, but who knows? It's very rare that bigs are ranked really really high, but then again, Ayton is ranked #10 overall in that same sites overall dynasty rankings while a guy like Fox is ranked 40th.

Positional depth definitely skews some players upward. Center is also one of the more exclusive positions. You get a lot of SG/SF, SF/PF, PG/SG, but not nearly as many PF/C, and most of the top centers are exclusively C.
It's also super early. For what it's worth, Hayes was 3rd on my board after Wiseman and Okongwu. Okongwu was that high for need, but I personally liked Hayes more.

I felt Okongwu would be kind of worthless the first 2-3 years with Capela, especially with Collins AND Gallinari there.
By board was basically Wiseman and Hayes, but picking 3rd I wasn't sure. Avdija might have been 3rd with his versatility.
Ball may end up better than I expected and I expect Wiseman to be good immediately. Wiseman and Hayes have more opportunity starting. I wonder if Wiseman's #s go down with Draymond.
With Wiseman able to hit 3s, I think that gives the Warriors far more upside. They can really play 4 out and run the offense through Draymond, though Oubre will obviously have to start hitting 3s. And Wiggins/Oubre can't drive as much, though without Wiseman in the middle it won't be as bad with defenders in the middle.
Missing Klay really hurts. I should have considered that before taking Curry in Premier and another league. I took him in Premier at 11 though and in the other league it was higher, even higher than Harden, but I wasn't sure when or if Harden would play a lot of games.

Some wild stat lines so far today.
Andre Drummond shot like garbage (7/21 FG) but I cannot complain about 23/16/5/4/3 haha

Plumlee did exactly what I expected and gave a solid line. But it still sucks to play it safe and get burned. You would have thought Cleveland was a better matchup than San Antonio.
Also about Okongwu, I also feel like waiting out Capela's contract would be too long for anyone here to stomach. Even rebuilding teams don't want to take on multi-year prospects in this league

Damn, you had Boucher on your bench? I was pretty bummed you took him when you did, thought he'd make it to my pick that round.
