100 percent between cp3 walking the ball up the court every time and lack 9f ball movement I wasn't enjoying watching the team as much as I had previously. Hate to say it because he was great for the Suns but I'm glad cp3 is gone.

to be fair though, during the 64 win season, we were plenty fun to watch, especially during the 18 win streak. all the clutch wins we had that year were exciting as ****, and CP was a big part of that. we will need that clutch gene again this year after we seemingly lost the ability to win close games as well last season.

Ya it was a scrapy bunch but they won about 20 games in the last minute never felt like a dominant team. I just don't enjoy watching the ball walked up the court and playing half court basketball all the time. Not my jam.

But for sure the last 5 minutes was exciting because every damn game was close that year.

I think we shot ourselves in the foot going for the best record that season because we limped into the finals with a bunch of injuries.

In hindsight we really should have done better load management for CP3 but either Monty didn't believe in it or CP3 was too competitive to sit games.

Every game they say “he’s not gonna shoot like this again” and then he does.

KD is not the same player he once was.

Our best player is booker. People will catch up this season.

What’s pretty crazy is that every game we say that, he ends up with damn near 30pts, 6-8 rebounds, 4-5 assists, couple of blocks and steals AND on great efficiency. He led us in scoring today (after his poor-ish start) shooting 60%.

Father time is undefeated for sure but he’s going to get a ton of open shots on this team and he will make them. The only thing he’s consistently struggled is turnovers. I think that will get worse as he gets older. The good news is that his workload will probably be the lowest his career playing alongside Book and Beal (and even Nurk if you factor in his passing abilities).

Our best player is booker. People will catch up this season.

He shot 22% from 3 against the Nuggets and most of those losses weren’t close. This after shooting 33% from 3 in their losing series the previous year with the Nets. For comparison, Booker shot 55% from 3 against the Nuggets.

Against good teams when the defense tightens up, KD just doesn’t have the legs to hit 3s at even half decent efficiency anymore.

The KD that used to walk up and hit a 3 between the eyes of elite defenders in the playoffs with the Warriors is dead. Good news is that with Beal now too, we won’t need that much from him so hopefully he can still hit from outside on good efficiency.

And yeah his turnovers are even worse. He’s never been a very good ball handler but it’s gotten worse as he’s gotten older. But like you mentioned with others on the team who can handle the rock too, hopefully he can control it.

Yeah I hate that we got rid of our entire identity for the pursuit of a championship which is far from guaranteed. We aren't even the favorites to win it due to KD no longer being the same guy from the warrior days.

I do agree PF and PG are our weak links but I don't think we would trade KBD unless he agreed to it since he probably took a big discount to come here. I do expect that half the guys on our roster won't be on the team next year due to the Suns probably not being able to give them as big a contract as other teams.

Reath looking pretty good for Portland. He does kind of look like prime Z-Bo.

There's gonna be a bunch of games this season where Blazer fans will question whether their bench C's like Reath, Williams and Brown is better than DA, and why.

Just like we've done over the years with Baynes, Saric, Tank, Jock, McGee etc etc

Allen fit pretty seamlessly into the starting lineup. It is weird having this much firepower, the last two games it has felt like we were sputtering in the 1st quarters only for me to look down at the end of the quarters and we have high 30s!

Well said Saberestar. Maybe KD is not the same KD we saw in OKC or GS but he’s still pretty damn good and we should be grateful that he’s on our team. Without Durant, no way does Booker average near 40 ppg last year in the playoffs. Booker had an easier time scoring since KD would get double teamed or you can’t sag off him cause he will make you pay.
