Mikal Bridges played 51 out of 53 minutes and straight up stole the ball from Boston on the final possession to seal the win.

But hey, cool.

He was my fav suns player. The twins were the heart and soul of that finals team. But hey we got KD and Beal....

Interesting start of R2. All top 3 favourites for the title lost their first game.

Dude only won a playoff game against the defending champs.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

He was mostly invisible though. Even McBride felt more impactful.

How about not having any picks or likable players and only having a geriatric 38 yr old player to show for it?

Sorry but I don't get coming in here when they have one good game or one good performance and act like they won a championship.

I actually like them both as players but that ship has sailed.

Even though Bridges has been struggling during these playoffs, he was a huge reason why Knicks won this game. Hit a corner three near end of regulations and had a steal. 3/13 shooting is bad, but made up for it with 6 Reb, 7. Assists, 3 steals & 2 blocks. Also, played 6 more minutes than the next player on both teams. Kudos to Bridges for tonight. Hope he finds his shot during this series though.

TBH - Bridges is a good glue roster fit, but he isn't a star. He is durable, hustles and is a good 4th option for any team.

I enjoyed watching the Suns with Ayton, CP3, and the twins. I think what they should have done though after that trade is let CP3, Booker, KD, Ayton ride till trade deadline.

This!

What Ishbia failed to realize is that you need players to complement each other. Bridges and Cam J were good players around Booker

Beal and Durant aren't.

KD is 36 years old, a great player NOW and he is a favorite player for many people, including many Phoenix Suns fans.

Some people miss Mikal and/or other former Suns player and it's OK... but it's better and I prefer to look at the present and possibilities for the future.

Mikal and Cam are certainly more likeable though I miss the picks more. They could've been used for 25-30yo top player rather than 34+ at time of trade and almost 37 now. Ishbia had no patience and is now paying big time for his failed experiment.

What's the issue with following former Suns players and being glad they're winning? This is a playoffs thread and the current Suns aren't in them....

Awesome games last night.

I just tune if they are close, but Bridges owned that OT with a couple steals and a huge 3. I mean HUGE steals. Big time plays when it mattered against the defending champs. Good to see. Always good to see Boston lose too.

Then the second game. I paid attention that OKC's lead was evaporating so I turned it on with a couple minutes left, and the way OKC played that when they got up 3 was ridiculously stupid. I think Daigneaut is normally a good coach, but why would you keep fouling to avoid them taking a 3 THAT early? I think there were over 10 seconds left twice, and they foulded immediately, within a second of inbound, to start a FT contest. They basically,, instead of just playing their great D, decided to do that. I don't think fouling when up 3 is typically a bad decision, but I only do it when there are a 3-5 seconds left and you foul befor the shot, so they have to go to the line with barely any time left and if you inbound it, it is basically game over. Then OKC misses it's free throws. That was a terrible loss.

“Great player now” yeah that must be why he took the Suns to…missing the playoffs and 35 wins this season.

There is no “future” with a 36 yr old. That trade giving up Mikal, Cam and 4 first round picks is one of the worst trades to ever be made. Mikal himself netted 5 first rd picks so basically Suns traded 9 first rd picks and Cam Johnson for a 35 yr old KD.

Mikal helped this team get to the Finals and come just 2 wins shy of a chip. KD helped this team get swept in the first round and for players to do this to the Suns:

KD is the most overrated superstar player in maybe all of sports history. Guy is extremely turnover prone in big moments and only time he’s ever won jack **** in his life was he did the weakest move ever in sports by joining a 63 win team like a b****h. That same team won before he joined and after he left. Meanwhile he’s accomplished absolutely nothing in his career without that team.

You keep licking that boot though man, nobody else here can do it as well as you. I know Ishbia appreciates it.

How about we see what our new GM does with KD/Beal?
