His contract isn't too bad, he already has familarity with the team/city, and the pick is pretty valuable since this draft is so deep. Any second thoughts or is that a firm no?

As Dez said, take Warrick and we're in

JRich is cheap at 6 mil - he'll be 33 when the contract expires, not 80.

I think it's a not bad way to add a SG, and at that price if he ends up coming off the bench later, he's not overpaid. Only downside is he's not much of a defender, but he does board well

As I mentioned to him, yeah, we'd take Warrick if PHX took back either Duhon or QRich and last year's rookie Justin Harper.

Why can't the Suns do this with Childress or Warrick?!

Terrible for Detroit.

Magette and Prince?

I would do that deal straight up....

Include a second rounder and I'll hand deliver the trade proposal to the NBA League Office myself.

Nope. Both Duhon and Q-Rich make $3 million or close to it for the next three years.

Suns don't want to commit that much to two older players...J-Rich can at least play but Duhon and Q-Rich suck.

Best deal from the Suns imo would be Warrick for J-Rich, Harper, and Wafer.

Are you guys nuts? You want to buy a #19 draft pick for $20M (that's the difference between Warrick's guaranteed salary and Q-Rich's + J-Rich's guaranteed salary)?! $9M of cap space in 2013 will be more valuable than a #19 draft pick in this year's draft.

It's not like we're going to sign any major free agent in the near future so I'd rather have a draft pick and good shooting guard, yes.

Yeah I just got a bit nostalgic for a sec there :)

Still, financially JRich + QRich pretty much equals Childress, in terms of both dollars ($27-31mill) and length (4 years). they'd be decent backups at both SG and SF. Wonder what else we'd have to offer to make it happen..

It's weird, it seems like half of the people here want to take on bad contracts to get picks, and others want to trade away bad contracts along with picks (which is surprising) like we did with KT.

I dont think your ratio is correct.... we give away another pick, about half the people here would resort to physical violence.

Looking at our options, and what Babby has said, taking on salary to gain assets is really our best bet. I will not be surprised if we do nothing more than add a second rounder, and not because they did not try. We just dont have much to work with... for the draft anyway.

Horford goes on the table, we wont be on the guest list.

Gortat and Warrick?

Teague, 2012 pick
Johnson, MLE
Williams, BIE
Smith, Warrick
Gortat, Pachulia

Best they can probably do while staying out of tax land.

I would trade the 13th pick to get Horford....he's better than anyone in the draft.

I bet Atlanta would also want us to take on Marvin Williams contract.

The Hawks seem like their willing to trade everyone and everything. I think their trying to sell the team and want to shed salaries.

Smart move.

#13, Dudley for Horford, Williams, #21 should do the trick.

We take on Williams horrid deal while they move into the lottery and get a solid rotation player in Dudley.

With Horford coming off injury, I think other teams may be reluctant to trade for him.

Wonder what the Cats will need to add to move Tyrus? $7.5 mil for 4 yrs. I've always liked him but still waiting for him to justify my faith.
Could be waiting a long time - six years now
