He could always agree via telephone if his agent is doing all the work. Nothing can be officially signed until July 10th so he doesn't have to be anywhere. Agents may have power of attorney to sign anyway (not sure about this). I doubt anything happens for at least 3 days on the LeBron front though.
It may also be tough for teams to make moves in the next few days too because guys like Deng, Pau, which ends up trickling down to almost everyone may get bigger offers from teams who strike out on LeBron so they will wait to see what he decides, and what all those other teams try to do alternatively before making decisions.
This pretty much happened with Howard last year. Everyone kept saying he was holding up the entire market. And Howard took until the 6th which was pretty frustrating.
