Re: Devin Booker
Booker definitely has to be in the running for MIP. It's too bad he already had a pretty solid rookie season for a #13 pick. It wouldn't be as big of an improvement as CJ last season.

Re: Devin Booker
I dont think anyone can wouldve expected this amount of hype out of Devin Booker. I mean, we just expected him to be a spotup shooter, now hes being lauded as a future franchise player/all star. Amazing.
He deserves it though. Booker has shown hes alot more than just a shooter. In fact, for someone that came out of college as a "3 point specialist" I dont even think that is his specialty. Im really impressed with his dribble drive game, and how crafty he is in the mid range. That sort of ability to create shots from anywhere on the court and off the dribble is what seperates the Randy Foyes of the league to the Brandon Roy's. Its easy to come into the league and be a one-dimensional floor spacer, but when you can operate off cuts, out of the pick and roll, and in the post, thats what makes a player special.

Re: Devin Booker
Can 2nd year player win MIP? I thought this award usually goes to players that improve later in their career, not to young players who are expected to improve.
That would be awesome if he would win it anyway.

Yeah, there's no restriction I'm aware of as to which season other than the obvious first one. I was bored so I glanced through the list of the 31 previous winners and it looks like the 3rd season has by far the most representation but there's a few winners from second year (Monta Ellis, Alvin Robertson). And some older winners too as Hedo and Darrell Armstrong were both 8 or 9 years into their careers before they took the award.
And yeah, it would be awesome if Booker won it. It would be even better if Booker, Warren and Len finished in a 3 way tie for the award. Not to mention the 3 way ROY tie for Ulis, Chriss and Bender and the straight out win for Warren as Comeback Player. It's probably a bit too much to hope for Booker and Bledsoe to share the MVP though.

Re: Devin Booker
I would prefer if Len won MIP this year and Booker won MVP.

Young Book, the face and armpits of the franchise, will shoot at a higher percentage if he grooms (shaves) his pits. You know what I'm talking about.

I really don't have a clue what you're talking about? Is this sarcasm or humor or what?

Re: Devin Booker
So glad we have someone I can really get behind after the huge void that was left when Nash was traded. Some of us jumped on the Bledsoe train, some latched on to the Dragon teet, but I think we can all agree that Booker is quickly on his way to being the Larry Fitzgerald of the suns.
"Mannnnn I’m like the guy that pissed this whole board off saying literally all year no Mikal, no Mikal in the KD trade."

A lot of talk about Booker in this Hezonja thread on the Magic board.
Especially "entertaining" is an angry Croatian fan on pages 5-7

I love how pissed he is about Bender not starting:
Watched Suns to see my guy Bender. Now you something you should know about worst runned organisation in NBA -orginal plan was to DNP 4# pick and give Chriss 7-8 min . Do you know who plays before them? Dudley and PJ Tucker. 6'7 fat guy who can't jump over phonebook and 6'6 dude . That's Suns PFs right !
SHAZAM!
Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Re: Devin Booker
If Bender keeps playing like he did opening night and he will be starting soon. One thing I love about this coach is that he will not hesitate to play rookies over vets if they earn it.
